The system interacts with personal communication devices configured with downloaded system application computer software to receive and present information associated with multimedia content from the infrastructure via a data communication network. Abstract: A method to facilitate targeted advertising can include receiving a plurality of schedule files that include scheduling information for at least one respective advertising media asset. Target attribute data is associated with each of the plurality of schedule files to identify at least one characteristic of an intended target audience of media content represented in each of the plurality of schedule files. Profile data associated with each of a plurality of uniquely identifiable network devices is received. The profile data characterizes known attributes of an audience serviced by each of the plurality of uniquely identifiable network devices. A plurality of playlist data files are generated based on analysis of the target data and the profile data. Each of the plurality of playlist data files includes scheduling information for at least one respective advertising media asset scheduled for playing out by at least one of the plurality of uniquely identifiable network devices.

Abstract: A method and system for providing routing information for use in virtual private networks is disclosed. The method supports a variety of different secure network topologies. According to the method a static map is generated including information on each static gateway and resources accessible therethrough. The map also contains security information for accessing and authenticating a gateway.

Abstract: A method and system for implementing network policy is described. The method involves storing policy data using certificates using a certificate database server. Upon retrieval, a policy is then validated as properly certified prior to use. When a policy is not validated, it indicates tampering or improper policy data entry. When policy data is successfully validated, the policy is implemented.
