Abstract: Skin treating composition on the basis of compatible carrier and additional compositions with a content of a defined tetrahydro-1,3-thiazine-2,4-dion derivatives as active ingredients for thickening the epidermis. The skin treating compositions are applied 1-2 times daily onto the skin for about 3 to 4 weeks. Due to the thickening of the epidermis they cause a reinforcement of the skin, in particular against sun rays, cold and the contact with noxious environmental substances of all kinds. Moreover, the skin treating compositions are suitable for a prophylactic fighting of the so-called old age skin. The skin treating compositions are applied 1-2 times daily on the skin for about 3 to 4 weeks. Due to the thickening of the epidermis they cause a strengthening of the skin protection, in particular against sun rays, cold and the contact with harmful environmental substances of all kinds. Moreover, the skin treating compositions are suitable for prophylactically fighting the so-called ageing of skin.

Abstract: New 3-carbamoyl- and 3-thiocarbamoyl-tetrahydro-1,3-thiazine-2-thiones are disclosed as skin treatment compositions based upon physiologically-compatible carriers and a content of these compounds as active substance for increasing the skin protection, in particular against sun radiation and contact with environmental substances of all types. The skin treatment compositions are also suitable for prophylactic control of so-called aging skin. The compositions are applied to the skin one or two times daily for about 3-4 weeks.

Abstract: Cosmetic agents for the control of head dandruff, containing customary cosmetic carrier substances and additives, and 1 to 5% by weight of salts of at least one biguanide derivative of the general formula ##STR1## wherein m is from 1 to 10 and n is from 1 to 6. Preferred salts include oligohexamethylene biguanide, oligotetramethylene biguanide and 1-methyl biguanide. Also preferred are the hydrochloride salts of biguanide derivatives. The agents may be in the form of shampoos, hair lotions, hair setting preparations, rinses, hair dressing gels and creams, hair oils, powders, or sprays. Customary carrier substances may be an ointment base, a powder, water, alcohol or water-alcohol mixtures. Customary cosmetic additives include resins, emulsifiers, thickeners, hair care substances, coloring agents, perfume oils, solid fillers, and propellants.
