  • Publication number: 20090066125
Abstract: An energy absorption device including an elastic core. The elastic core includes an elastic material, a covering enclosing the elastic core, and at least one flow device. Air contained in the elastic core may escape through the flow device into the space outside the covering when the elastic core is compressed. Additionally, air flows through the flow device into the space enclosed by the covering when the elastic core expands. The covering is constructed of a flexible, expansion-resistant material. The flow device is designed in the form of at least one connecting point between the covering elements of the covering such that air can escape from the elastic core or can flow into the elastic core through the connecting point.

  • Publication number: 20070246982
Abstract: A child protection system comprises a back rest, a back support on the seat back, a head rest component of the back rest which is displaceably mounted on the back support, a first adjusting mechanism which is used to adjust the position of the head rest component in relation to the back support in the longitudinal direction of the back, two lateral shoulder support flanges which are arranged in a transversal manner in the longitudinal direction of the back and at a distance from each other on the lateral support section of the head rest component, and a second adjusting mechanism which is used to adjust the distance between both lateral shoulder support flanges in a transversal manner to the longitudinal direction of the back. A coupling mechanism is configured such that during actuation, one adjusting mechanism as well as the other adjusting mechanism is triggered.
