  • Patent number: 5511464
Abstract: In order to protect a cup-seal non-return valve (1) against permanent deformation, it is suggested to provide radial supporting walls (15) between the cylindrical inner wall (10)* (*translator's note: the correct reference numeral is `14`) and the sealing lip (13). Preferably, three supporting walls (15), roughly 1 mm thick, are provided because both the natural stability and the valve function are safeguarded this way.

  • Patent number: 5407256
Abstract: The invention relates to a load-sensitive twin brake power controller whose change-over pressure is determined by a lever through a rocking element. The housing is extruded. Traditionally, a large-volume cylindrical chamber for the accommodation of the rocking element and a circular dust cover seat are mill cut into the housing. Such a loss of material is avoided by the present invention in that in conjunction with the extruded profile section two housing projections are molded which are each provided with one groove. Between the latter the dust cover is pressed with a sheet metal ring against the housing until the sheet metal ring comes to be locked in the grooves.

  • Patent number: 5251969
Abstract: A brake pressure proportioning controller is described for the rear wheel brakes of an automotive vehicle with a brake unit equipped with an anti-locking control, the brake pressure controller being provided with a lockout arrangement in which an electromagnetic drive prevents the brake pressure controller from performing its pressure reducing function as long as the anti-locking control is functioning. The lockout arrangement includes an actuating element (6) which is axially slidable by the drive (1), an intermediate bushing (8) is formed with radial round holes (34, 34') in which interlocking ball elements (31, 31') are guided in radial directions which are thicker than the wall of the intermediate bushing (8) and which are normally retained by the actuating element (6) in a position in which they lock any axial movement of the control element (9) in the direction of the electromagnetic drive (1).

  • Patent number: 5167441
Abstract: An anti-locking brake system for automotive vehicles, comprising a tandem master cylinder (1), a device (3, 4) for modulating the pressure supplied to the wheel brakes, an anti-locking control device (2) including a pressure reducing valve (10) located in the rear-axle brake circuit (7). The pressure reducing valve can be activated only in the event of failure of the anti-locking device. To attain a particularly simple and compact design of the re-switchable brakes force distributor (10, 110), an electromagnetic drive (21, 25, 121, 125) is provided and includes an actuating element (20, 120) through which pressure is directly applicable to the valve closing member (16, 116) of the pressure reducing valve (14, 15, 16, 114, 115, 116). To ensure the pressure reducing function even in the event of a failure of the anti-locking device during a brake actuation, an additional arrangement (134, 135, 136) for the volume expansion is provided.

  • Patent number: 4841107
Abstract: Disclosed is a device for indicating the filling level in a fluid reservoir of a hydraulic brake system, wherein a magnet is arranged in a radial recess of the float with the side walls of the recess being provided with retaining means for securing the magnet in its installed position.
