  • Patent number: 4498271
Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for anchoring threaded bars, such as bolts or similar elements, to hardened concrete, cement, or stone. An anchoring hole and a side hole are cut in the solid structure, and a sprag is then positioned within the side hole. The sprag is in the form of a sleeve and has a screw-threaded opening which extends through it and which is adapted to receive a threaded anchoring bar. The angle between the longitudinal axis of the sprag and the opening is equal to the angle between the anchoring bar hole and the side hole which are formed in the structure. The sprag is positioned within the side hole until its threaded opening is in line with the anchoring bar hole, so that the anchoring bar can be screwed into it.

  • Patent number: 4187757
Abstract: An arrangement for mounting an object to a support structure having a rear side which is difficult of access, has an anchoring element including a base portion and a plurality of leg portions extending from the base portion, and a mounting element arranged for mounting the object to the support structure and urging the anchoring element to abut against the support structure at the rear side thereof. The leg portions of the anchoring element are substantially rigid in a longitudinal direction which corresponds to a loading direction of the arrangement, and are resiliently yieldable in a transverse direction so that when the anchoring element is inserted into a mounting hole of the support structure the leg portions are urged toward one another in the transverse direction, and when the anchoring element passes rearwardly beyond the rear side of the support structure the leg portions spread apart from one another in the transverse direction.

  • Patent number: 3966156
Abstract: A set of fixing elements for mounting radiators or like bodies on walls comprises a wall fitting, such as a bracket arm of the knock-in or surface-mounting bracket type, associated with a holder for a radiator or like body. The holder is attachable to the wall fitting by a connector in the form of a clip which can be adjustably attached to the wall fitting and clamped in position. The wall fitting is traversed at its freely projecting end by a slot for the reception of part of said clip.

  • Patent number: 3954276
Abstract: A hammer-drill or the like has a chuck formed with a first bore and with a second bore which intersects the first bore. A tool bit has a shank that is receivable in the first bore and is provided with a surface recess transverse to the elongation of the first bore. A locking stud is received and axially shiftable in the second bore between one position in which it extends through the recess and locks the tool bit in the first bore, and another position in which it is retracted out of the recess. An arresting arrangement is provided which normally arrests the locking stud in its tool-locking position, and which can be operated to release the stud so that the same can be moved out of this position.
