  • Patent number: 6249208
Abstract: A chip inductance is composed of a wound coil core (1) that is arranged erect on a system carrier (6). Perpendicularly residing clips (7) are located on the system carrier, whereby the coil core (1) is arranged within the space formed by the clips. The terminals are thereby located essentially outside the space existing between the end face planes of the coil core (1).

  • Patent number: 6224367
Abstract: A mold closing apparatus in which two linearly-shiftable mutually juxtaposed yokes carry respective halves of a mold for shaping thermoplastic articles. A linear force generator acts directly on each of the yokes in a line and in line with the direction of shifting movement for selectively drawing the yokes together and displacing them apart. The closing forces are applied symmetrically to both yokes.

  • Patent number: 6178246
Abstract: Noise generated by a noise radiating surface is actively suppressed by at least two axially sensitive noise sensors which produce a control signal for controlling a noise suppression actuator. The sensors integrate the sensed signal in an axially selective manner. The at least two sensors are sensing the signal in two directions which preferably cross each other orthogonally. The control signal activates the actuator in such a way that the actuator counteracts deflections or vibrations of the noise generating surface such as a vehicle body wall.

  • Patent number: 6151396
Abstract: An active acoustic resonator is provided for noise reduction, with a sound generator having a membrane, with a sensor for measuring the membrane motion, with an actuator for driving the membrane, as well as with a controller receiving the measured signal of the sensor and generating control signals for the actuator. A transfer function (F.sub.R) of the controller is proportional to a quotient, whose numerator (F.sub.BP) has the transfer behavior of a band pass filter with variable center frequency (f.sub.0), and whose denominator represents the transfer function (F.sub.U) of the actuator.

  • Patent number: 6099790
Abstract: A method of manufacturing hollow bodies including inserting into spaced mold halves of a blow mold of a blow molding machine plastic hose-shaped blanks at an extrusion station of the blow molding machine and closing the blow mold, displacing the closed blow mold from the extrusion station to a calibration station of the blow molding machine, inserting thereat blow mandrels into respective cavities of the closed blow mold, lifting, after expiration of predetermined blow time, the blow mandrels, together with the blown hollow bodies to an intermediate position and removing the blown hollow bodies from the blow mandrels lifting the blow mandrels to their initial position thereof, and displacing the blow mold from the calibration station to the extrusion station, with the displacing of the blow mold between the extrusion station and the calibration station being effected by displacing the blow mold at a right angle to a connection line of arranged side-by-side cavities of the blow mold.

  • Patent number: 5720918
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for closing the tool of a plastics-processing machine, especially a blow-molding machine, concerns a two-part tool (1, 2) which is supported by two tool mounting plates (3, 4), at least one run drive (5), at least two closure drives (8), and such that the closure drives (8) each have a hydraulic piston-cylinder system with a cylinder (9), a piston (10), and a cylinder rod (11), and such that an inflow (14) and an outflow (15) for hydraulic oil is situated at the cylinder (9). Also, the end of the piston rod (11) has an interlock element (12) which interacts with a counter-piece (13), such that the piston rod (11) does not interlock with the closure piece (13), in order to apply the closure force, until the tool (1, 2) is situated near its closed position.

  • Patent number: 4565515
Abstract: A nozzle assembly for extruding a tube has an outer housing sleeve having an inner surface centered on an axis and having an axially forwardly directed front end and a core formed of attached-together front, intermediate, and rear core ports. The front core part lies within the sleeve at the front end thereof and forms with the inner housing surface an annular axially forwardly open extrusion passage. The intermediate core part lies within the sleeve axially behind the front core part and is formed with a pair of grooves opening radially outward into the passage and each defined by a respective annular rear face extending generally perpendicular to the axis, a respective annular front face confronting the rear face and extending generally perpendicular to the axis, and a heart-shaped annular surface axially bridging the respective faces, facing radially forward, and having a portion forming a radially forwardly directed point.

  • Patent number: 4059373
Abstract: An extruder head for supplying tubular parisons to a blow molding machine has a cylindrical outer housing, an inner housing extending into the rear end portion of the outer housing, a core which defines with the outer housing an annular extrusion orifice and an annular compartment which supplies plasticized synthetic thermoplastic material to the orifice, and a holder which secures the core to the inner housing so that plasticized material can flow from an axially extending channel of the inner housing into the rear portion of the compartment between the core and the outer housing. The holder has a cupped section between the core and the inner housing, a first annulus of bolts which connect the section to the inner housing and a second annulus of bolts which connect the section to the core. The section has a central opening and the bolts are parallel to the axis of the core.
