  • Publication number: 20150092329
Abstract: Particular embodiments described herein provide for an electronic device, such as a notebook computer, laptop, or tablet that includes a circuit board coupled to a plurality of electronic components (which may include any type of components, elements, circuitry, etc.). One particular example implementation of an electronic device may include a display portion, which includes a main display that is provided on a first side of the display portion; a secondary display unit that is provided on a second side of the display portion; and a hinge to secure the secondary display unit to the display portion, where the hinge is to allow a rotation of the secondary display unit in relation to the display portion.

  • Patent number: 6674916
Abstract: A method of mapping a chosen point in real space to its corresponding location in image space includes obtaining a diagnostic medical image of a subject including multiple rigid objects, and individually computing separate transforms which register each of the rigid objects in real space with their corresponding locations in image space. After choosing a target point in real space, the target point is mapped to image space using a designated transform. A number of the rigid objects are selected which are closest to the target point in image space, and an interpolated transform is generated from the separate transforms which correspond to the selected rigid objects. The target point is re-mapped in image space using the interpolated transform, and the interpolated transform is set as the designated transform for subsequent mappings.

  • Patent number: 6614453
Abstract: A medical imaging display system includes a memory (40) for storing first image data representative of a region of interest. The memory (40) stores image data generated by medical imaging devices such as magnetic resonance devices (20), computed tomography devices (22), nuclear imaging devices (26,28,30), and ultrasound devices. Typically, image data from these devices is obtained some time prior to a surgical event and users may access this data in planning for the surgical event. A processor (42), in data communication with the memory, is organized under a component object modeling architecture. The processor (42) is connected to a user interface (10) for providing user requests to the processor. Thus, in response to user action via the user interface (10), the processor (42) determines an object (54) adapted to act on the request, selects a handle (60) for the determined object and, employs the object via the handle to act on the request.

  • Patent number: 6081336
Abstract: A microscope calibrator includes a housing supporting a series of focusing targets each situated at a predetermined distance from one another. Attributes of the microscope are determined by focusing the microscope on one ore more of the focusing targetrs and determining a location of the microscope with respect to the focusing targets focused upon. The position of the focusing targets are determinable by virtue of a local reference frame target attached to the microscope calibrator or by using a tracked probe to communicate the location of each point focused upon by the microscope on each of the focusing targets.
