  • Publication number: 20090089123
Abstract: Described herein are a method and a tool for performance measurement of a business scenario step in an enterprise environment, which support “per business scenario step” granularity and do not attach any agents to the enterprise environment, thus avoiding any memory or CPU time overheads. The performance measurements are based on two sets of system readings collected prior to the and after the execution of the business scenario step. The method calculates the memory used by the enterprise environment during the business scenario step execution, the elapsed CPU times used by all Operation System (OS) processes involved, the number and duration of all roundtrips between the Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP) browser initiating the execution of the business scenario step and the enterprise environment, and between the enterprise environment and all back-ends involved.

  • Publication number: 20060037030
Abstract: A system and method are described for implementing and using a deploy system for deployment of entities. In one embodiment, a deploy service is implemented as a module on a J2EE engine to perform deployment services on a container on the J2EE engine. The deployment services include deploying one or more entities on the container which includes a J2EE container and/or a non-J2EE container.

  • Publication number: 20050278274
Abstract: A system and method are described for performing deployment operations according to a transaction model. In one embodiment, a request to initiate a transaction to perform a deploy service operation is received. In response to the request, the transaction is initiated at a container. The transaction is then committed to a database if the transaction is successful. The successful transaction reflects the deploy service operation being completed at the container.

  • Publication number: 20050273787
Abstract: A system and method are described for facilitating communication between a server and a client using a deploy callback system. In one embodiment, deploy listener is registered to receive status information regarding deployment of application or deploy operations relating to the deployment of the application. Such status information is provided to the deploy listener.

  • Publication number: 20050268297
Abstract: A system and method are described for performing updating of an application using a single file update. In one embodiment, a request from a client is received at a server to amend a deployed application by updating a single file of the application. The request is received at a deploy service of the server. The file to be update is accessed and updated to amend the application. The transaction for successful updating of the file is committed to a database.

  • Publication number: 20050262477
Abstract: A system and method are described for deploying non-J2EE containers on a J2EE server. In one embodiment, non-J2EE containers are created and deployed on the J2EE server in communication with J2EE containers already deployed on the J2EE server.
