  • Patent number: 9319889
Abstract: It is disclosed a method comprising accommodating, in frequency domain, a first bandwidth of a first carrier signal with respect to a second bandwidth of a second carrier signal such that the first bandwidth adjoins to or overlaps the second bandwidth, the first bandwidth being greater than the second bandwidth.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 7, 2014

  • Patent number: 8787142
Abstract: It is disclosed a method including accommodating, in frequency domain, a first bandwidth of a first carrier signal with respect to a second bandwidth of a second carrier signal such that the first bandwidth adjoins to or overlaps the second bandwidth, the first bandwidth being greater than the second bandwidth. In a further aspect, prior to the transmission, the interference of the modulated second carrier signal is subtracted from each of the plurality of subcarrier signals of the first carrier signal.

  • Patent number: 6925107
Abstract: A method and a device for decoding for use in a code-division multiple access (CDMA) transmission system for demodulating a received signal available in serial code concatenation, with a two-step coding being carried out at the transmitting end of the transmission system, including an orthogonal, multi-step inner Hadamard code and an outer, error-correcting code of a predefined rate. In the receiver, a soft-in/soft-out decoder is provided, at whose input and output soft values are processed as reliability information, i.e., L-values. The soft output of the first decoder step, or inner code is the soft input for the decoder step, or outer code, that follows in each case, the first decoder step receiving the output values of the preceding demodulation, which contain the channel's reliability information. A soft output is used by the decoder, in particular a MAP decoder, as a-priori information for the systematic bits of the Walsh function of the inner code for decoding of the inner code.

  • Patent number: 6473417
Abstract: A method and apparatus for reducing co-channel interference in a CDMA radio telephone system wherein a traffic channel signal is transmitted from a first station (e.g., a base station) 100 in the system to a second station in the system (e.g., a mobile station) 200. The traffic channel signal contains information representative of a plurality of CDMA data signals each of which is modulated with a different Walsh code prior to transmission of the traffic channel signal from the first station 100 to the second station 200. A reduced interference signal is formed at the second station 200 by subtracting an interference signal from the traffic channel signal. A decoded signal is formed at the second station 200 by decoding information representative of the reduced interference signal using a decoder 260 that outputs a plurality of metric values.
