Abstract: An improved fishing rod butt component that has only one non-rusting, self-latching, moving part which can rotate smoothly from a self-locking literal alignment with the fishing rod into a non-injurious, moveable within ninety (90) degrees to a lower barrel T shaped body (e.g., requiring no positioning pins, levers, potentially rusting springs, screws, wooden covers, wedges or retainers) to be held against the body of the fisherman or user during a fish fight. The fishing rod butt can be retro-fitted as an improvement to an existing or pre-owned fishing rod that needs additional comfort and stability also includes a gimbal butt apparatus.

Abstract: A common experience for boat owners is to lose anchors, particularly when anchored next to structure, wrecks, sunken debris, tree roots, rocks or other obstacles that are likely to become firmly engaged, holding the flukes of an anchor. Attempts to release the anchor by maneuvering the boat or by the manipulation of the anchor line often prove futile and succeed only in increasing the entanglement of the anchor.
