  • Publication number: 20220138368
Abstract: An exemplary embodiment provides a method of predicting a geometry of a turbine blade, comprising: obtaining a point cloud of the turbine blade, the point cloud comprising a plurality of points corresponding to locations on an external contour of the turbine blade; generating an external mesh for the turbine blade based on point cloud; defining a reference axis along the length of the blade; generating a plurality of sampling planes along the length of the reference axis, each sampling plane being normal to the reference axis and having a shape defined by portions of the mesh intersecting the sampling plane; for each of the plurality of sampling planes, matching the sampling plane to an airfoil profile in a database of known airfoil profiles; and creating a geometrical representation of the turbine blade by placing the airfoils on the reference axis and connecting the perimeter of each of the airfoils.

  • Publication number: 20130327373
Abstract: An exemplary embodiment of the present invention provides a solar assembly comprising a frame and a plurality of solar photovoltaic laminates. The frame can substantially define a perimeter of the assembly and can comprise an elongated channel spanning an interior of at least a portion of the frame. The channel can comprise an electrical bus bar. The plurality of solar photovoltaic laminates can be positioned adjacent each other and supported and secured in place by the frame along one or more edges of the plurality of laminates. Each of the plurality of laminates can one or more bus bar leads exiting the laminate between a top encapsulate layer and a bottom encapsulate layer of the laminate on a side edge of the laminate that can be substantially adjacent a portion of the frame. Each of the bus bar leads can be electrically coupled to the bus bar.

  • Patent number: 6149134
Abstract: A guardrail system including a rail and rail connectors is described wherein the rail is formed of several elongated tubes which are integrally molded at the tube sidewalls. The tubes preferably have polygonal cross-sections with sidewalls situated in horizontal and vertical planes, with the vertical sidewalls of the various tubes staggered at different depths within the rail. Connections between rails may be achieved by internal connectors which fit within the tubes of adjacent rails, and/or by use of external connectors which receive the ends of adjacent rails. Such internal and external connectors may also be used to reinforce damaged rails to restore their performance characteristics.
