An agent may be associated with a trigger mechanism. The agent is configured to access the template of the application and to open a corresponding package at a central storage location if the trigger mechanism is triggered. The agent is configured to apply the user settings included in the package to the application at the locations indicated in the template.

  • Patent number: 8407245
Abstract: A string matching system is described herein that provides for very fast and efficient pattern matching against large sets of certain types of pattern strings. If a set of pattern strings is comprised of strings that can be logically divided into segments, these pattern strings can be stored efficiently in a tree-like data structure, segment by segment, storing pattern-match syntax segments separately from literal string segments. After segmentation, individual match candidate strings are compared, segment by segment, against elements in the tree. The system uses a data structure that is conceptually a combination of a tree and a hash table. Using a hash table to implement the branching elements at each level in the tree contributes to quick matching speed at each level. By consistently separating strings into segments, the system can also share storage locations for like elements in the data structure.

  • Patent number: 4503777
Abstract: A semi-jacketed molded bullet having means integral with the bullet core for preventing separation of the core from the jacket is disclosed. The bullet is particularly adapted for use in revolvers and comprises a cup-shaped jacket having a small hole in the bottom portion. A small portion of the bullet core material extends through the hole and forms a retaining flange exterior a portion only of the bottom of the jacket. In one embodiment, an annular member having a diameter slightly larger than the jacket is provided behind the jacket and held in place by the retaining flange of core material. The method of construction of the bullet of this invention comprises placing the jacket member into a bullet mold with the hole in the base facing upwardly, placing the annular member, if desired, upon the jacket base, and pouring molten core material through the opening to fill the mold and produce a small degree of over-flow to form the retaining flange.

  • Patent number: 3944393
Abstract: A seed holder for holding a seed crystal of gallium arsenide (GaAs) is fitted into one end of a cylindrical quartz boat in which a melt of gallium (Ga) and arsenic (As) is synthesized and then grown as a single crystal seeded by the seed crystal using the Bridgeman process or the gradient freeze process. The seed holder closely encompasses three sides of a crystal (e.g., of rectangular cross section) while exposing only the end upon which the crystal growth is to take place. The exposed end of the crystal seed is disposed above the bottom of the boat to prevent contact between the gallium melt and the seed until synthesis is nearly complete.
