  • Patent number: 5127757
Abstract: A connecting head for scaffold systems, with the connecting head including a connecting zone having centering lobes and an annular contact surface as well as a conical surface arranged so as to provide for favorable welding conditions.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 19, 1990
Date of Patent: July 7, 1992
    Inventor: Ruth Langer
  • Patent number: 5046879
Abstract: A scaffolding arrangement including a perforated disk having a central bore for accommodating an upright scaffolding element. The perforated conencting disk includes a plurality of alternately arranged large and small wedge accommodating holes, with the small wedge accommodating holes having a wedge contact surface forming a continuous curve which is symmetrical with respect to a radius which passes through a middle of the wedge contact surface of the respective small wedge holes.

  • Patent number: 4958702
Abstract: A span member for supporting scaffolding platforms in scaffolding using support posts that have perforated disks for mounting connecting heads. The span member includes a light-metal U-shaped beam with supporting edge webs on vertical legs thereof. The connecting head, shaped in many areas in a space saving manner and with a disk slot, includes welding flaps which abut inner surfaces of the vertical legs and are fastened thereto with a welded seam at the top.

  • Patent number: 4952114
Abstract: A conveying system for trestle frames of scaffolds to be utilized and transported as well as stored in an upright position. The conveying system included holding rails of a rack-like structure, with the rails being arranged in pairs and engaging with teeth thereof beside ends of scaffold tubes and, respectively, lower cross connections of the trestle frames. The conveying system also includes lower holding rails provided with receiving recesses for cross connections of the trestle frames. The trestle frames can readily be threaded in place and the transport pallets can be taken up by forks of forklift truck through apertures provided in the trestle frame, with the apertures enabling the forks to be inserted in the longitudinal and transverse directions thereby facilitating handling and transportation of the transport pallets by forklift trucks.

  • Patent number: 4919230
Abstract: A scaffold platform section is fashioned as a corner platform section (117) and exhibits an optionally multipartite floor plate (27) at which at least one supporting leg (29) is bent at an angle, carrying drop-in claws (13) or the like. A supporting leg has a lower lift-preventing leg (30) extending to below the U supporting span member (14) in the drop-in position. This platform section bridges a great variety of different angular regions between other scaffold platforms and can have a swivel member (37) for compensating purposes. The corner platform section (117) proper can be equipped with a border leg (35). The swivel member (37) can have a border leg (38). Two component elements can be joined in a swivelable and inflexible fashion.

  • Patent number: 4867274
Abstract: The system includes vertical posts with apertured disks secured thereto at intervals, coupling heads, wedge-like keys, scaffold pipes, coupling head extensions, and tank-link heads. Each coupling head has a horizontal slot receiving an apertured disk when the head is pushed into mounted position thereon, and has top and bottom key-receiving openings above and below such slot. A wedge-like key extends down through the top key-receiving opening, through a disk aperture, then through the bottom key-receiving opening, fastening the coupling head to the disk. Coupling heads for horizontal scaffold pipes have extensions insertable into the pipes. Diagonal scaffold pipes have tang-link heads, whose tank has an aperture for a pivot provided on an associated coupling head. Conventionally, the disks, coupling heads and pipes are all made of steel, the disks of 9 mm thickness and 122 mm diameter. The disclosed lighter-weight version employs disks and scaffold pipes made not of steel, but of light metal such as aluminum.
