The locking mechanism is configured such that it is forcibly transferred from the locked state to the release state when the cash container is emptied. The cash box system is preferably for a vending machine in which the cash container is inserted.

Abstract: An outdoor vending machine in the form of a parking meter includes the following elements: a user interface having a cover plate, there being disposed in the region thereof operating information items and force sensors coupled to the cover plate, the force sensors outputting signals as a function of an external force exerted on the sensors via the cover plate, analysis electronics having a pressure point determination unit for ascertaining pressure points on the cover plate based on the signals of the force sensors, an association unit, which associates different operator commands with different pressure points in operation, and a processing unit; which carries out sales actions in operation based on the operator commands. Abstract: A money-operated machine is disclosed, such as a ticket machine for parking, for example. The machine includes a changeable cashbox used to receive money, which can be changed at given time intervals. The machine further includes a rechargeable voltage source for supplying the electric consumers of the machine with power. A method is disclosed for maintaining the money-operated machine. By integrating the voltage source into the cashbox, it is possible to form a common change unit. As a result, the money-operated machine requires less servicing since the cashbox can be changed and the voltage source can be charged in a single work step.
