  • Publication number: 20240133743
Abstract: Methods, systems and devices are described that enable measurement and characterization of complex laser pulses by relying on three interferograms that are measured simultaneously. The described three-phase spectral interferometry (3 PSI) can meet the growing demand for optical recorders with long record and 1 ps or finer resolution. An example three-phase interferometric system includes a three-output optical splitter with a first input port to receive the input optical signal, a second input port to receive a reference optical signal with one or more unknown spectral characteristics. The three output ports of the optical splitter produce interferograms that correspond to relative phase shifts of substantially 120 degrees. Detectors are positioned to receive and measure the interferograms, which allows determination of the amplitude and phase of the input optical signal with very high accuracy.

  • Publication number: 20240106142
Abstract: In an illustrative embodiment, a connector for interfacing a flexible circuitry device with an apparatus includes a housing having a lower housing portion and an upper housing portion with a button region for a button, circuit board(s) including contact(s) for interfacing with corresponding contact(s) of an I/O section of flexible circuitry, retention feature(s) for frictionally retaining the I/O section against the contact(s) of the circuit board(s), and a cable interface. When the button is in a retain position, the button creates a downward force on the retention feature(s) toward the lower housing portion, thereby frictionally retaining the I/O section of the flexible circuitry, and, when the button is in a release position, the retention feature(s) is displaced in a direction of the upper housing portion, thereby creating or widening an aperture for insertion of the I/O section.

  • Patent number: 11942977
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for calibrating voltage offset of receiver data samplers in mission mode are described. The operating conditions, including the sampling threshold, of a first sampler are matched with those of a second sampler by adjusting the voltage offset of the second sampler. The voltage offset of the first sampler is adjusted in a first voltage direction until an error rate between the two samplers meets a threshold error value at a first threshold voltage offset value. The voltage offset of the first sampler is further adjusted in a second voltage direction, opposite of the first voltage direction, until the error rate between the two samplers meets the threshold error value at a second threshold voltage offset value. The voltage offset of the first sampler is adjusted to be an average value between the first threshold voltage offset value and the second threshold voltage offset value.

  • Publication number: 20240086465
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for generating graphical views of searches. For example, a set of search results may be identified based on a search of legal content maintained at a data source and the search results may be output to a graphical user interface (GUI). Information associated with particular search results of the set of search results may be displayed in response to inputs corresponding to activation of interactive elements of the GUI are received, and the disclosed systems and methods may track one or more metrics associated with the interactions corresponding to each displayed search result. A graphical view of the displayed search results (i.e., ones viewed by the researcher) may be generated based on the one or more metrics and output to a display device. The tracked metrics may be used to quantify a relevancy of the search results, which may be indicated in the graphical view.

  • Patent number: 11839047
Abstract: A design for the electrical infrastructure of a data center enables two different configurations to be utilized, including a distributed, redundant configuration that provides higher reliability and a non-redundant configuration that provides higher capacity. In the distributed, redundant configuration, each server in the data center draws power from at least two different power supply systems. This enables load shifting when a power supply system becomes unavailable, which can have the effect of increasing server reliability. In the non-redundant configuration, each server in the data center draws power from only one power supply system. Load shifting is not utilized in the non-redundant configuration, which eliminates the need to maintain reserve capacity and thereby increases capacity. Advantageously, it is possible to switch between these two configurations without making any internal changes to the data center other than modifying connections between sets of server racks and power buses.
