  • Patent number: 11891951
Abstract: A scramjet engine with a novel isolator is disclosed herein. The scramjet includes an air inlet configured to receive and direct air into the engine and a combustor operable to receive air from the air inlet and combust fuel therein as is conventional. An isolator is positioned between the air inlet and the combustor. The isolator includes a primary flow path separated into a plurality of separate secondary flow channels formed therethrough. The smaller secondary flow channels prevent shockwaves from propagating upstream from the combustor to the inlet that can occur during some operating conditions of a supersonic combustion flow process.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: February 6, 2024
Assignee: United States of America as represented by the Secretary of the Air Force
Inventors: Robert Mercier, Mark Gruber, Ryan Milligan
  • Publication number: 20230298410
Abstract: An improved system and method of selectively transmitting asset data from one or more sensors associated with the vehicle to a backend server, which is configured to analyze the asset data and, if necessary for further analysis of the asset data (e.g., to determine whether a safety event has occurred) and/or to provide actionable data for review by a safety analyst, requests further asset data from a vehicle device.
    Type: Application

    Publication date: September 21, 2023
Inventors: Mathew Chasan Calmer, Jesse Chen, Saumya Jain, Kavya Joshi, Justin Pan, Ryan Milligan, Justin Delegard, Jason Symons

  • Patent number: 9898158
Abstract: A method of operating a machine includes receiving via a network machine interface a schema defining a hierarchy of page objects for application logic on a plurality of different machine platforms; applying the schema to operate shell logic specific to a particular machine platform comprising the network machine interface via which the schema was received to provide a look and feel for application logic native to the particular machine platform; and cooperatively operating layout logic and navigation logic of the shell logic to cause the look and feel of the application logic native to the particular machine platform as defined by the hierarchy of page objects to be inconsistent on the plurality of different machine platforms.
