  • Publication number: 20230272469
Abstract: An example of a method includes providing a substrate with an exposed surface comprising a first chemical group, wherein the providing optionally comprises modifying the exposed surface of the substrate to incorporate the first chemical group; reacting the first chemical group with a first reactive group of a functionalized polymer molecule to form a functionalized polymer coating layer covalently bound to the exposed surface of the substrate; grafting a primer to the functionalized polymer coating layer by reacting the primer with a second reactive group of the functionalized polymer coating layer; and forming a water-soluble protective coating on the primer and the functionalized polymer coating layer. Examples of flow cells incorporating examples of the water-soluble protective coating are also disclosed herein.

  • Patent number: 9237547
Abstract: A method, system, and medium are provided for managing CDMA reference cell identifiers (IDs) in a long-term-evolution (LTE) network using Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). A network node subscribes to RF coverage information and location information of eNodeBs and CDMA base stations within the network. After receiving this information from the eNodeBs and the CDMA base stations, the network node uses the information to determine CDMA base stations that are in proximity to each eNodeB. The eNodeBs in the network subscribe to CDMA reference cell IDs of those CDMA base stations that have been determined by the network node to be in proximity to the respective eNodeB. After receiving the CDMA reference cell IDs from the network node, the eNodeB utilizes the received information to select a CDMA base station to utilize when a network customer's UE requires circuit-switched services.

  • Patent number: 8160623
Abstract: Methods, media, and systems are provided for delivering short messaging service (SMS) messages via a satellite radio network are provided. A cellular-satellite gateway (CSG) server is coupled to both the network of a terrestrial cellular telecommunications provider and to the network of a satellite radio provider. Once a requisite number of unsuccessful attempts for delivery have been made by the elements of the cellular network, the SMS message is forwarded to the CSG server. The CSG sends the text message to a specified satellite radio network. The satellite radio network broadcasts the text message so that it may be received by a satellite radio enabled device. Messages are filtered at the mobile device to ensure only the intended recipient receives the text message. Acknowledgment is sent the next time the mobile device connects to its cellular network.

  • Publication number: 20110272091
Abstract: A system for manufacturing a composite part from composite material comprises a bag and a tool. The bag may retain a first portion of the composite material and may include a chamber and a sheet, to which the chamber is coupled. The chamber may be positioned adjacent a rigidized support configured to maintain the chamber in the shape of a non-planar feature of the composite part. The tool may include an upper surface configured to retain a second portion of the composite material and shaped to correspond to an outer mold line of the composite part. The bag may be placed upon the upper surface of the tool such that the composite material is fully enclosed by the combination of the bag and the upper surface of the tool. A heating element may provide a high temperature to cure the composite material.
