  • Publication number: 20230058955
Abstract: A hybrid aerosol-generating device contains a HNB article and an ECIG article. The hybrid aerosol-generating device allows for simultaneous inhalation from both a HNB article and an ECIG article. The hybrid device includes a HNB article configured to heat non-liquid materials without combustion of the non-liquid materials and also includes an ECIG article configured to heat liquid materials without combustion of the liquid materials. The hybrid aerosol-generating device may further include a mouthpiece connected to both the HNB article and the ECIG article to allow for the simultaneous delivery of aerosols and/or vapors created by the heated non-liquid materials and the heated liquid materials.

  • Publication number: 20210016471
Abstract: A capsule for temporarily storing consumable materials can be manufactured from a composition containing a mixture of hydroypropyl-methyl-cellulose (HPMC) and cellulose nanocrystals (CNC) dissolved in a solvent containing a mixture of water and isopropyl alcohol. This composition exhibits non-Newtonian fluid dynamics and at least one layer of the composition can be deposited onto an elastomeric dipping pin for creating the capsule. Multiple layers of the composition can also be used to create a laminate capsule. The formed capsule can be removed from the dipping pin by axially extending the elastomeric dipping pin to cause radial contraction thereof and separating the formed capsule from the elastomeric dipping pin.
