  • Publication number: 20230372741
Abstract: A handheld ultrasound device and corresponding methods used for rejuvenating the vulvovaginal area of the user. In general, the handheld ultrasound devices include a device body coupled to an acoustic coupler and a handle. The device body further includes internal components including an ultrasound transducer, an energy delivery element, and circuitry for controlling the ultrasound output. The methods of using the handheld ultrasound device include engaging the tissue in and around the vulvovaginal area with the energy delivery element, applying ultrasound energy to the vulvovaginal tissue from the energy delivery element and through the acoustic coupler, and affecting a measurable parameter associated with vulvovaginal rejuvenation.

  • Publication number: 20230165596
Abstract: A catheter is provided which includes an outer catheter and an extendable inner catheter. A sealing feature is positioned between the inner catheter and the outer catheter to seal the annular gap between the two while allowing axial translation. The seal may be a compliant protrusion surrounding the inner catheter and may have a chevron-shape for facilitating axial translation. The seal may be a one-way valve configured to allow antegrade flushing but prevent retrograde flow. The seal may be squeegee-like flange on the distal tip of the outer catheter. The seal may be an expandable bulge, which may be mechanically expandable or inflatable or which may be a photosensitive or electrosensitive hydrogel. The seal may include a spring that is radially compressed upon translation or rotation of the inner catheter to transiently break the seal. Also provided is a seal for sealing between the catheter and the vasculature.

  • Patent number: 11395665
Abstract: A neurovascular catheter having an atraumatic navigational tip is disclosed. The catheter includes an elongate flexible tubular body, a distal zone of the tubular body comprising: a tubular inner liner; a helical coil surrounding the inner liner and having a distal end, a tubular jacket surrounding the helical coil, and extending distally beyond the helical coil distal end to terminate in a catheter distal face, and a tubular radiopaque marker embedded in the tubular jacket. The catheter distal face comprises a first section that resides on a first plane which crosses a longitudinal axis of the tubular body at a first angle within the range of from about 35 degrees to about 55 degrees, and a second section that resides on a second plane which crosses the longitudinal axis of the tubular body at a second angle within the range from about 55 degrees to about 90 degrees.

  • Patent number: 10835272
Abstract: A system for removing embolic material from an intravascular site is disclosed. The system includes an elongate, flexible tubular body, having a proximal end, a distal end, and a tubular side wall defining at least one lumen extending axially there through; an axial restraint carried by the side wall and exposed to the lumen; a rotatable core wire extendable through the lumen, the core wire having a distal end; a limit carried by the core wire, the limit having a bearing surface for rotatably engaging the restraint; and an agitator tip on the distal end of the core wire. The limit and the restraint are engageable to permit rotation of the core wire but limit distal advance of the tip relative to the tubular body.

  • Publication number: 20200171329
Abstract: A method of treating vaginal tissue atrophy in a female subject, the method including the steps of engaging an energy delivery element with tissue in or around the subject's vagina; applying energy to the tissue from the energy delivery element; and increasing blood flow to internal vaginal tissue to an increased level above a baseline level of blood flow to the internal vaginal tissue, the increased level of blood flow to the internal vaginal tissue persisting after the applying step ceases. The invention also provides devices for performing this therapy.
