  • Publication number: 20170293635
Abstract: Various embodiments are described herein for systems and methods for allowing user at a client terminal to interacts with a graphical user interface having a DGGS globe to perform spatial analysis on DGGS spatial data based on a spatial query on unified spatial data that may be obtained from distributed geospatial data sources having different data formats. The spatial analysis results can include a resulting collection of cells that can be displayed on the DGGS globe and/or aggregated spatial statistics that can be displayed in a DGGS legend at the graphical user interface. In one aspect, the spatial analysis can be iteratively performed to obtain a refined resulting collection of cells and aggregated spatial statistics. In another aspect, the resulting cells and/or aggregated spatial statistics can be added to a geospatial data source that can be accessed by another client terminal that is performing other geospatial analysis.

  • Publication number: 20160089869
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for fabricating pressure compensated insulated glass units (IGUs). In one example, a method assembles an IGU from a first lite, a second lite and a spacer registered with and between the first and second lite, while at least the space between the first and second lites and within the perimeter of the spacer contains a heated or cooled inert gas. In another example, a method provides a vented IGU, heats or cools the vented IGU, introduces inert gas into the interior volume of the vented IGU, and seals vent ports before the IGU comes to ambient temperature. In another example, a method introduces or removes inert gas from an IGU by penetrating a seal of the IGU and then reseals the IGU. In another example, an apparatus for fabricating an IGU comprises a temperature control unit configured to heat or cool an inert gas and an IGU press wherein the apparatus is configured to introduce a heated inert gas or a cooled inert gas into the IGU as the hermetic seal of the IGU is formed.

  • Patent number: 9047900
Abstract: A media drive includes a head, a servo signal processing circuit, an actuator and a processor. The head is positioned near a data storage medium, and includes a servo element. The servo signal processing circuit is coupled to the servo element to output a position error signal. The actuator controls a position of the head relative to the data storage medium. The processor communicates with the actuator and the servo signal processing circuit. The processor provides a filtered position error signal to the actuator to compensate for a position displacement between the head and the data storage medium. The filtered position error signal includes a sum of outputs from a first compensation filter and a second compensation filter that is each applied to the position error signal output. The compensation filters attenuate disturbance frequencies that contribute to the position displacement. Each of the compensation filters has a sampling rate relating to the respective disturbance frequency.

  • Publication number: 20120199369
Abstract: A hoof-pick is an equine tool resembling a screwdriver with a bent blade. It is used to “pick-out” or clean and examine the sole of a horse's hoof. The hoof-pick can be either a curved hook style or standard bent or “spade” blade. An illuminating hoof-pick has a LED (light emitting diode) built into the rubber or molded plastic handle. The LED wiring and resistor is housed in a protective tube built into the underside of the molded handle. One wire in the assembly goes to the contact spring; the other to a conducting battery tube on the contact board. The LED is activated by a push button on-off switch and powered by a “AAA” battery. The technology is basically the same as a flashlight. The LED light would be mounted on the base of the hook. This position would illuminate the proper area to be cleaned or examined.
