  • Patent number: 9092942
Abstract: In one embodiment, the gaming system and method disclosed herein provides a plurality of gaming devices that each participate in a group game including a plurality of masked group game components and determines and provides separate awards to each player of the gaming devices based on the amount of modifiers applied to each of the group game components having a modifier applied by the player of that gaming device. In one embodiment, the gaming system enables each player to selectively apply or associate a plurality of modifiers to a single game component or apply the plurality of modifiers across the plurality of game components. For each gaming device, the gaming system displays and provides any awards to the player of that gaming device.

  • Patent number: 8277307
Abstract: The gaming device and method disclosed herein have a plurality of reels and at least one expanding and roaming wild symbol. The wild symbol moves relative to the reels to provide additional award opportunities. When both the wild symbol and a designated trigger symbol appear on one of the reels, the wild symbol expands to form an expanded wild symbol set that includes a plurality of individual wild symbols. The designated trigger symbol determines the number of moves. For each move, the expanded wild symbol set moves to one of the reels. That is, the expanded wild symbol set enables a plurality of individual wild symbols to randomly move from reel to reel for a number of moves, wherein the number is determined based on the designated trigger symbol. After each move, the gaming device performs an award evaluation to determine whether a winning combination is displayed on the reels.

  • Patent number: 8137179
Abstract: The gaming device and method disclosed herein have a plurality of reels and at least one expanding and roaming wild symbol or wild symbol set. When the wild symbol appears on one of the reels and a designated trigger symbol also appears on one of the reels, the wild symbol expands to form an expanded wild symbol set that includes a plurality of individual wild symbols. The designated trigger symbol is associated with or determines the number of rolls (i.e., the number of times the expanded wild symbol set will roll or move across the reels). For each roll, the expanded wild symbol set rolls (left to right or right to left) to one of the reels. That is, the expanded wild symbol set enables a plurality of individual wild symbols to randomly move or roam from reel to reel for a number of rolls or moves, wherein the number is determined based on the designated trigger symbol.

  • Patent number: 7033270
Abstract: A gaming device having a game having a plurality of choices wherein each choice has an associated number of points. The processor provides an initial number of picks to the player. The processor also maintains a regeneration amount, whereby the player receives a new number of picks if the points associated with the player's choices accumulate at least to the regeneration amount, within the provided number of picks. In one embodiment accumulating points includes accumulating awards. If the player accumulates a predetermined goal amount of points, the player also wins a goal award.

  • Patent number: 6986709
Abstract: The present invention includes a gaming device which includes a plurality of game functions for a single game and a probability associated with each game function. After a predetermined event occurs, the processor uses the probabilities to generate a particular game function for a player to use. Preferably, the predetermined event is a game triggering event. The processor can generate different game functions for a single game from predetermined event to predetermined event. This type of gaming device increases the interest and entertainment of gaming device players.
