  • Publication number: 20130281850
Abstract: An introducer having a dilator positioned in a sheath is inserted into a first artery and, thereafter, only the dilator tube is drawn out of the first artery and the sheath while the sheath remains in the first artery. A diagnostic instrument having an outer diameter smaller than a maximum outer diameter permitting insertion into the sheath tube is inserted into the second artery, and a stenosis of the second artery is diagnosed. While keeping the sheath indwelling in the first artery, a therapeutic instrument or a catheter permitting the therapeutic instrument to be inserted therein, which therapeutic instrument or catheter has a maximum outer diameter permitting insertion into the sheath tube, is inserted into the second artery, and the second artery is treated.

  • Publication number: 20130046241
Abstract: An introducer assembly is composed of an introducer sheath and a dilator which have been previously integrated with each other to permit the hemostatic valve to exhibit its hemostatic function over an extended period of time without significantly adversely affecting the inherent function of the dilator tube. The introducer assembly includes a dilator tube passing through a passage of a hemostatic valve. The introducer assembly has a deforming member arranged between the hemostatic valve and a cap. As the cap is pushed toward the proximal end surface of a sheath hub for engagement with the sheath hub, the cap presses the hemostatic valve and applies a compressive force to the hemostatic valve in such a direction as to close the passage.

  • Publication number: 20130023734
Abstract: An introducer sheath assembly is provided that is capable of securely fastening a sheath tube to a patient's limb so as to keep it from being displaced after insertion into an incision. The introducer sheath assembly has an introducer sheath including a sheath tube to be inserted into the incision made on the patient's limb and a sheath hub attached to the proximal end of the sheath tube. In one form, the introducer sheath assembly has a belt, which is connected to the sheath hub and wound around the limb, and a fastening member to fasten the belt wound around the limb.

  • Patent number: 5786812
Abstract: The invention concerns a tablet pointer that enables the drag mode to be retained even when the operation surface of a tablet sheet is so narrow that the stylus press-held thereto needs to be temporarily lifted off. Switch data generating member provided in the tablet pointer produces switch data indicating the operating state of a mouse switch and device output data of the tablet pointer is fed to a personal computer as an output of an operation unique to the mouse, such as drag mode data. While in a keep-drag mode, the switch data generating member does not cancel the drag mode even if it is supplied with an ordinary drag cancel input. Hence, the drag mode can be retained even if it receives a drag mode cancel signal during the drag operation.

  • Patent number: 5663716
Abstract: A transmitting and receiving system includes two or more remote controls and a single receiver, which a machine or apparatus to be controlled is equipped with. Each remote control has a proper number "i" allotted thereto, and is capable of sending a control signal to the machine or apparatus. The repetitive period ST of transmission is composed of a transmission permitting data frame STa and a transmission preventing data frame STb, provided that the transmission permitting data frame Sta is equal to or shorter than the transmission preventing data frame STb (STa.ltoreq.STb). The transmission permitting data frame STa is determined by multiplying a given transmission unit of time TT by 2.sup.i-1. The transmission unit of time TT is composed of a data present sub-section DTa and a data absent sub-section DTb, provided that data-present sub-section DTa is equal to or shorter than data-absent sub-section DTb (DTa.ltoreq.DTb).

  • Patent number: 5508703
Abstract: A membrane switch having a rotary motion detection function comprises a flexible sheet, in which movable electrodes are formed that correspond to multiple keys, and a printed wiring board, in which fixed electrodes are formed that correspond to the movable electrodes. The flexible sheet and printed wiring board are arranged in layers so that the movable and fixed electrodes face each other with a prescribed spacing between them. When any key on the membrane switch is pressed and thus turned on, that key's signal is detected. When multiple keys are turned on in succession within a prescribed time interval, codes are sent that correspond to the direction and speed of movement of the sequence of turned-on keys. The rotary motion keys are arranged in a circle. The codes that correspond to the direction and speed of shift of the turned-on keys are preset in a microprocessor. The rotary motion keys can be arranged on the same board with other general keys to make up a remote control device.

  • Patent number: 5021969
Abstract: Operating a mode change switch changes the mode of a controller to first or third command control mode which is suitable for a work involving a large displacement of a manipulator or a second command control mode suitable for a work requiring precision. When an operation handle of an operation unit is operated, the controller controls the operation unit in each command control mode to drive the manipulator. In a case where a large-displacement-involving work and a precision-requiring work are continuously executed, therefore, the mode of the controller is first changed to the first or third command control mode by operating the mode change switch and then changed to the second command control mode. The manipulator can be driven in the proper command control mode for a work to be done.
