  • Publication number: 20190025951
Abstract: An electronic pen has increased strength, especially a pen tip portion that is not bent or broken even if the electronic pen is slimmed down. A core unit includes a ferrite core on which a coil is wound and a core rod. The core rod is fixed from a first end of the ferrite core to a second end of the ferrite core at a position including a center axis of the ferrite core and projects at an end thereof from the first end of the ferrite core. The ferrite core includes a first coil non-winding portion on which the coil is not wound provided on the pen tip side of the ferrite core. In operation, the end of the core rod and part of the first coil non-winding portion of the ferrite core project from an opening of a housing of the electronic pen.

  • Patent number: 10152144
Abstract: A position indicator includes a tubular chassis in which an opening is made on one end in an axial direction as a pen tip side and another end. A position indicator cartridge is housed in a hollow part of the chassis. The position indicator cartridge includes a core body unit having a coil that forms part of a resonant circuit that is wound partly around a bar-shaped magnetic core, part of the magnetic core around which the coil is not wound forming a pen tip part, and a tubular body unit that houses at least a capacitor that forms part of the resonant circuit. A change circuit also forms part of the resonant circuit and is configured to change a resonant frequency or a phase of the resonant circuit according to a writing pressure applied to the core body unit.

  • Publication number: 20180081458
Abstract: A magnetic core coil has a core formed of a magnetic material, a coil wound around the core, and two terminals formed of a conductive material. The two terminals are fixed to the core, and first portions of the two terminals extend from one end of the core in an axial direction of the core. A first end and a second end of the coil are electrically connected to the first portions of the two terminals which protrude from the one end of the core in the axial direction of the core. The magnetic core coil can be made small in thickness (radial size) and size, and can be produced in a reduced number of production steps and at low cost.

  • Publication number: 20180011560
Abstract: An electronic pen indicates a position to a position detection module by transmitting and receiving signals with the position detection module. A cylindrical casing, a core member, a writing-pressure detector, and a writing-pressure transmission member are accommodated in a hollow section of a cylindrical casing. Provided is a pressing member that applies, based on an operation by a user, a displacement force to the core member from a first end, which is opposite to a second end serving a pen tip, to the second end serving as the pen tip. The writing-pressure transmission member includes a protrusion which, in operation, transmits a writing pressure, which has been exerted on the core member fitted in a fit-in portion included in the writing-pressure transmission member, to the writing-pressure detector. The pressing member is configured to apply a displacement force to the core member via the writing-pressure transmission member without applying an axial force to the writing-pressure detector.

  • Publication number: 20170357340
Abstract: An electronic pen has a tubular housing which has an opening provided at one end in an axial direction of the housing and is closed at another end thereof, and has at least one electronic pen main body accommodated in the tubular housing. The electronic pen main body includes a core body having an end in the axial direction of the housing that serves as a pen tip, and a magnetic core provided at an end of core body that is opposite to the end of the core body that serves as the pen tip and having a coil wound thereon. In operation, the end of the core body that serves as the pen tip projects from the opening of the housing to outside of the housing, and part of the magnetic core projects from the opening of the housing to outside of the housing.

  • Patent number: 9513719
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a pen pressure detecting module housed in a position indicator, the position indicator having a pen shape and being capable of detecting a pressure applied to a tip portion of the position indicator. The pen pressure detecting module includes a pressure sensing device, a first holder, and a second holder. The pressure sensing device senses the pressure based on a change in a capacitance formed between a first electrode and a second electrode disposed so as to be opposed to each other, which capacitance changes so as to correspond to the pressure that is transmitted to the first electrode. The second holder is housed in the first holder, and the pressure sensing device is disposed so as to sense the pressure applied to the second holder. An engaging portion engaged with a pressure transmitting member that transmits the pressure is formed in the second holder.
