  • Publication number: 20040171765
Abstract: Provided is a polyurethane polymer which is excellent in oil resistance, weatherability, light resistance, heat resistance, hot water resistance, hydrolysis resistance, strength, chlorine resistance, and chemical resistance, and which can be produced simply and economically. The polyurethane polymer is produced by polymerizing at least two components: a vinyl polymer (A) having a mercapto group at each end of the molecular chain produced by a reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer polymerization method, and an organic polyisocyanate (B). Also provided are polyurethane-based materials containing the polyurethane polymer, and polyurethane elastic fiber.

  • Publication number: 20040106732
Abstract: Provided are a thermoplastic resin composition which is excellent in oil resistance, heat resistance, weatherability, impact resistance, transparency, and moldability, and which can be produced economically, an elastomer composition with low hardness and high tensile strength which is excellent in oil resistance and compression set, and a molded object produced by molding the thermoplastic resin composition or elastomer composition. The composition is produced by compounding a thermoplastic resin or an elastomer with a block copolymer having at least one methacrylic ester polymer block and at least one acrylic ester polymer block.

  • Publication number: 20040097678
Abstract: Objects of the present invention are to provide a process for easily producing an alkenyl-terminated vinyl polymer without using a metal compound requiring a complicated purification step, and to provide a curable composition containing the vinyl polymer. An alkenyl group is incorporated into an end of a vinyl polymer having a thiocarbonylthio structure at the end to produce an alkenyl-terminated vinyl polymer. Mixing this vinyl polymer with a compound having a hydrogen-silicon bond and a hydrosilylation catalyst gives the curable composition.

  • Patent number: 6503995
Abstract: A method of producing a polyoxyalkylene polymer having at least one crosslinkable silyl group and at least one hydroxyl group in each molecule which comprises treating a polyoxyalkylene polymer having at least one unsaturated group and at least one alcoholic hydroxyl group in each molecule and an impurity double metal cyanide complex as mixed therein with a metal-coordinating compound and adding a compound having a hydrogen-silicon bond and a crosslinkable silyl group in each molecule and a hydrosilylation catalyst to thereby carry out the hydrosilylation reaction.

  • Patent number: 5504235
Abstract: When a polysiloxane or siloxane is contacted with a mixture which comprises an orthoester, a compound having an active hydrogen-containing group and an acid catalyst, it is easily decomposed even at room temperature to provide a silicon compound having a lower molecular weight such as an alkoxysilane.
