  • Publication number: 20030054256
Abstract: A first manufacturing method of a totally solid polymer secondary battery includes laminating a first quasi-positive electrode layer and a negative electrode layer on a positive electrode current collector, laminating a polymer solid electrolyte layer and a second quasi-positive electrode layer on the negative electrode layer, and adhering the first and second quasi-positive electrode layers to each other. A second manufacturing method of the same includes laminating a positive electrode layer and a first quasi-polymer solid electrolyte layer on a positive electrode current collector, laminating a negative electrode layer and a second quasi-polymer solid electrolyte layer on a negative electrode layer, and adhering the first and second quasi-polymer solid electrolyte layers to each other.

  • Publication number: 20020081485
Abstract: A non-aqueous rechargeable battery for a vehicle contains a positive electrode, which has a positive electrode active material having a capacity of 120 mAh/g or larger; and a negative electrode, which has a negative electrode active material having a capacity of 280 mAh/g or larger and a reversible rate of the capacity of 80% or more, wherein a ratio of a positive electrode capacity to a negative electrode capacity is set to 0.6 to 0.9. The non-aqueous rechargeable battery has a light weight and a high energy density.

  • Publication number: 20020012830
Abstract: A rechargeable lithium battery includes a negative electrode material having a total irreversible capacity of 45% or less of a total capacity of a positive electrode material. By adjusting the irreversible capacity of the negative electrode material in a wide range, a crystalline structure of the positive electrode material during charge-discharge is stably maintained, and cyclic resistance of the rechargeable lithium battery is improved. Moreover, the rechargeable lithium battery having a large capacity and high cyclic resistance at high temperature can be provided by the use of Li deficient type lithium manganese oxide of a layer structure as a positive electrode material.

  • Patent number: 5266358
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a metal oxide film formed on a glass substrate by a sol-gel method using a solution of at least one metal alkoxide or acetylacetonate. Water which is in the amount ranging from 50 to 400 mol % of the at least one metal alkoxide or acetylacetonate, an organic solvent and a catalyst are added to the solution, thereby to form a first sol. To afford water repellency to the oxide film, a fluoroalkylsilane in the amount more than 0.30 mol % of and less than 3.0 mol % of the at least one metal alkoxide or acetylacetonate, or an alkylsilane compound in the amount more than 4.0 mol % of and less than 20 mol % of the at least one metal alkoxide or acetylacetonate, is added to the first sol, thereby forming a second sol. The concentration of the at least one metal alkoxide or acetylacetonate in the second sol is adjusted to fall within the range from 0.005 to 3.0 mol %. The second sol is applied to the glass substrate to form a gel film.

  • Patent number: 4708908
Abstract: Disclosed is an improved surface-hardening coating on a plastic body such as a plastic lens. The surface-hardening coating consists of a hard-coat layer of a polymer base composition and an underlying primer layer, which contains an ultraviolet absorber low in the bleeding tendency amounting to 0.5-50 wt % of the plastic component of the primer. A triazole having a vapor pressure not higher than 1.times.10.sup.-5 KPa at 100.degree. C. is preferred as the ultraviolet absorber. The introduction of such an ultraviolet absorber into the primer layer has the effect of greatly enhancing the durability and weatherability of the coating without sacrificing the surface hardness.
