  • Patent number: 11192805
Abstract: Leachate remediation is performed by synergistic chemical oxidation and photocatalytic-oxidation enhancer system (SCOPES) of municipal landfill leachate to a level that is safe for disposal within regulatory guidelines. The physico-chemical (chemical, spectroscopic, elemental, microstructural and thermal) characteristics of the pre- and post-treated landfill leachate have been investigated to examine the utility of advanced oxidation (AO) processes such as SCOPES to decontaminate the municipal landfill leachate and/or toxic organic wastewater. The experimental results demonstrated successful lowering of chemical oxygen demand (COD) and UV-Vis absorbance for constituent contaminants in the leachate and/or wastewater solutions.

  • Patent number: 10839378
Abstract: A first device may be coupled to a second device over a network. The first device may maintain a first cryptocurrency wallet and may include mining circuitry that generates cryptocurrency rewards for the wallet. The first device may transmit a communications request to the second device. The second device may transmit payment information identifying a second wallet and a selected authentication amount to the first device. The second device may select the authentication amount to perform a desired amount of device connection rate limiting. The first device may generate an authentication transaction for a cryptocurrency network to transfer the authentication amount from the first wallet to the second wallet. The second device may determine whether the authentication transaction has been verified by the cryptocurrency network. • Patent number: 9703798
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention include a method and system for sharing changes made by an application to a file on one computer, coherently with other computers, over the Internet. If the application changes multiple files (also referred to as a file group), changes made to all the files are shared together coherently with other computers over the Internet. Coherence over multiple file copies and file group copies is maintained whether users work on files online or offline. A ‘File Upload Lock’ is maintained on a Cloud Server for ensuring coherent sharing of changes made to files. Embodiments include two file syncing processes, variously described as ‘Incremental File Upload’ or ‘Incremental File Download’ and ‘Delta File Upload’ or ‘Delta File Download’. Embodiments also encompass an ‘Explorer’ software tool and user interface that displays folders and files on user devices with pertinent details from the device and the Cloud Server.

  • Patent number: 8825464
Abstract: One particular implementation takes the form of an apparatus or method for parallelizing a sequential power simulation of an integrated circuit device. The implementation may temporally divide the simulation so that separate time segments of the simulation can be run at the same time, thereby reducing he required time necessary to perform the power simulation. More particularly, a logic simulation may be performed on the integrated circuit and snapshots of the logic devices of the integrated circuit may be taken at a specified period. The separate time segments of the simulation may then be simulated in a parallel manner to simulate power consumption of the integrated circuit. Performing the power simulation on the separate time segments may reduce the required time of a typical power consumption simulation of an integrated circuit.

  • Patent number: 8467483
Abstract: A radio-frequency apparatus includes an integrated circuit. The integrated circuit includes receiver analog circuitry, receiver digital circuitry, a digital-to-analog converter, and a signal selector. The receiver analog circuitry receives radio-frequency signals, and provides a first digital signal. The receiver digital circuitry receives the first digital signal, and provides a second digital signal. The digital-to-analog converter converts the second digital signal into a first analog signal. The signal selector receives the second digital signal and the first analog signal, and selectively provides one of the second digital signal and the first analog signal as an output signal of the integrated circuit.

  • Patent number: 8440100
Abstract: A ternary hydrogen storage system having a constant stoichiometric molar ratio of LiNH2:MgH2:LiBH4 of 2:1:1. It was found that the incorporation of MgH2 particles of approximately 10 nm to 20 nm exhibit a lower initial hydrogen release temperature of 150° C. Furthermore, it is observed that the particle size of LiBNH quaternary hydride has a significant effect on the hydrogen sorption concentration with an optimum size of 28 nm. The as-synthesized hydrides exhibit two main hydrogen release temperatures, one around 160° C. and the other around 300° C., with the main hydrogen release temperature reduced from 310° C. to 270° C., while hydrogen is first reversibly released at temperatures as low as 150° C. with a total hydrogen capacity of 6 wt. % to 8 wt. %. Detailed thermal, capacity, structural and microstructural properties have been demonstrated and correlated with the activation energies of these materials.
