  • Patent number: 5346215
Abstract: A three-dimensional puzzle which consists of several mutually permanently connected puzzle bodies which result in a regular tetrahedron in the assembled state. All puzzle elements consist of truncated pyramids of different sizes which are disk-like. All puzzle elements are combined to a chain, in which each puzzle element is connected with the next-larger one along an edge in such a manner that they can be folded about these edges with respect to one another. In this chain, the individual puzzle elements are arranged such that they form a band which winds helically about an imaginary vertical center axis.

  • Patent number: 5344148
Abstract: A three-dimensional puzzle consisting of puzzle bodies which hang in one another and can be assembled to form a polyhedron body. The puzzle bodies, which hang in one another, form a link chain consisting of a straight number of chain links. One half of the chain links are cornered rings of which, in the assembled condition, at least one outer side forms a portion of the surface of the polyhedron. The other half of the chain links consists of segments of the polyhedron parts which are disposed above one another and which are disposed above and below the plane formed by the rings. These two segments themselves form irregular polyhedrons, are rigidly connected with one another by means of two webs so that they form a closed chain link which, together with the rings, form a link chain which then may be assembled to form, for example, a tetrahedron, a cube, an octahedron or the like.

  • Patent number: 5338034
Abstract: A three-dimensional puzzle which consists of several mutually permanently connected puzzle bodies which result in a regular tetrahedron in the assembled condition. In this case, all puzzle bodies are parts of irregular pyramids whose apexes, in the assembled condition, all meet at one point in the interior of the tetrahedron and whose bases form the tetrahedron surfaces in the assembled condition. All puzzle elements are also combined to a chain, specifically such that all puzzle elements, with the exception of the first and the last element, are in each case connected with the adjacent puzzle elements while they can be folded along an edge of the pyramid base.

  • Patent number: 5318301
Abstract: A three-dimensional puzzle, which consists of several mutually connected puzzle elements which result in a regular tetrahedron in the assembled state. A number of identical tetrahedron-shaped puzzle elements and a number of mutually identical puzzle elements of different sizes are provided which all have the shape of a closed spatial frame. In this case, the development is such that the inner sides of the legs of the frame-shaped elements are identical to the outer sides of the frame legs of each of the next-smaller elements or to the surfaces of the smallest tetrahedron-shaped elements. All elements are in each case connected with one another along one of their edges, specifically such that they can be folded and can be pulled apart a distance at least on one end. In this case, the elements are arranged such that they form a number of chains which have different lengths, are each placed against one another with their largest element and consist of puzzle elements which all have different sizes.
