Patent number: 11954258Abstract: A system and method for rendering AI-based haptic feedback and recommendations in a VR environment is provided. The system detects an active VR session on a VR device that renders immersive content associated with a VR environment that includes a digital avatar and a virtual object. The system acquires the immersive content based on the detection and determines physical attributes of the virtual object, scene information associated with the VR environment, and an activity of the digital avatar based on a first network-based analysis, a second network-based analysis, a third neural network-based analysis, respectively, of the content. The system further detects an interaction between the digital avatar and the virtual object in a duration of the activity, and generates a feedback signal based on the interaction, the scene information, and the physical attributes. The system further controls a haptic device based on the feedback signal to generate a haptic feedback.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 2023Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: SONY GROUP CORPORATIONInventors: Sachin Agrawal, Ayush Kumar Ghadiya, Tushar Rasal

Patent number: 10678938Abstract: Systems and techniques for trustworthy peripheral transfer of ownership are described herein. A unique peripheral identifier may be received from an ownership manifest of the peripheral device. The unique peripheral identifier may be transferred to a bus controller for a bus between the computing device and the peripheral device. A measurement may be received from the peripheral device by the basic input and output system of the computing device. A measurement of a computing platform of the computing device may be generated. The measurement may indicate peripheral devices interconnected to the computing device. Data transfer between the peripheral device and the computing device may be allowed via the bus based on validation of the measurement of the computing platform against a platform configuration register of the computing device.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2018Date of Patent: June 9, 2020Assignee: Intel CorporationInventors: Mats Gustav Agerstam, Ned M. Patent number: 7260273Abstract: A system and method of editing a digital image to remove an unwanted object includes designating a rectangular region of the digital image including a subset of pixels within the digital image that includes the object to be removed. A band of pixels adjacent one major side of the rectangular region is selected and a mirror of the selected band of pixels is copied in a repeating pattern to define a first matrix corresponding in size to the designated region. A band of pixels adjacent the opposite major side of the rectangular region is then selected and a mirror of the selected band of pixels is copied in a repeating pattern to define a second pixel matrix corresponding in size to the designated region. The pixels of the first and second matrices are blended according to a first blending equation to create an initial texture.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 2003Date of Patent: August 21, 2007Assignee: Seiko Epson CorporationInventors: Graham Sellers, Sachin Agrawal

Method and apparatus for determining the vertices of a character in a two-dimensional barcode symbol
Publication number: 20060043189Abstract: A method of determining the vertices of a character in a two-dimensional barcode symbol image includes tracing a contour around a character. The contour is examined and pixels therealong believed to be vertices of the character are determined. The relative positions of the determined pixels are compared to determine if they satisfy a threshold. If the relative positions of the determined pixels satisfy the threshold, the determined pixels are designated as the vertices of the character. If the relative positions of the determined pixels satisfy the threshold, the determined pixels are designated as the vertices of the character. If the relative positions of the determined pixels do not satisfy the threshold, new pixels along the contour are selected using geometric relationships between the determined pixels to replace determined pixels that are not vertices of the character.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 31, 2004Publication date: March 2, 2006Inventors: Sachin Agrawal, Derek Kwok, Mohanaraj Thiyagarajah, Ian Clarke -
