  • Publication number: 20170060136
Abstract: The image processing device includes a lane marking recognition section that recognizes left and right lane markings from a surroundings image captured by an imaging section, and a leading vehicle recognition section that recognizes a leading vehicle from the surroundings image. The lane marking recognition section determines that the left and right lane markings are a true lane marking pair in cases in which a width direction discrepancy, or a value based on the discrepancy, between a reference position between the left and right lane markings and a reference position of the leading vehicle is within a threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20160288790
Abstract: A trajectory tracking control unit carries out a trajectory tracking control in the event that a predetermined condition is satisfied. On the other hand, in the case that a preceding vehicle recognizing unit detects that a preceding vehicle has moved in a vehicle transverse direction, the trajectory tracking control unit predicts that the preceding vehicle will depart from a lane in which it is traveling. Therefore, even if the predetermined condition is satisfied after the preceding vehicle recognizing unit has detected that the preceding vehicle has moved in the vehicle transverse direction, the trajectory tracking control unit does not cause the driver's own vehicle to follow the trajectory of the preceding vehicle.

  • Patent number: 9098651
Abstract: A prior simulation of a velocity field and a temperature field is carried out, and snapshot data of the velocity field and that of the temperature field are collected during the prior simulation. Then principal component analysis on the collected snapshot data obtains velocity-field and temperature field dimension transformation matrixes, on the based on which the analysis models of the velocity field and temperature field having respective first degrees of freedom are converted into reduced degree-of-freedom models. Consequently, a simulation of the velocity field and the temperature field is carried out using models having respective reduced degrees of freedom (i.e., second degrees of freedom).

  • Publication number: 20140286372
Abstract: A sensor failure detection device includes a storage, a predictor, a calculator and a detector. The storage stores temperature information of individual sensors. The temperature information includes measured values of temperatures. The measured values of temperatures are measured by a plurality of sensors. The predictor predicts a temperature distribution by performing a thermal fluid simulation, on the basis of the temperature information received from a remaining sensor. The remaining sensor is a sensor of the plurality of sensors other than the test target sensor. The calculator calculates a difference value between a temperature at a position of the test target sensor in the temperature distribution and a temperature measured by the test target sensor. The detector detects that the difference value is higher than a predetermined value.
