  • Publication number: 20230276080
Abstract: A method may include determining a combination of values of attributes represented by reference data associated with computing devices by training a machine learning model based on an association between (i) respective values of the attributes and (ii) the computing devices entering a device state. The combination may be correlated with entry into the device state. The method may also include selecting a subset of the computing devices that is associated with the combination of values. The method may additionally include determining a first rate at which computing devices of the subset have entered the device state during a first time period and a second rate at which one or more computing devices associated with the combination have entered the device state during a second time period, and generating an indication that the two rates differ.

  • Publication number: 20150249913
Abstract: Methods and systems for pairing communication instruments are described. To initiate pairing, at least one user waves a device at a location. Based on the location, a service provider determines and provides the user who waved the device a list of other communication instruments in the area that the user may want to be paired with. For example, the service provider determines if any other communication instruments at the location was waved at about the same time, if a static device (e.g., merchant point of sale device) is present at the location, if a physical advertisement with a message to be communicated (e.g., a billboard with a QR code) is present at the location, or if any device that the user has been paired with previously is present at the location. The devices may be automatically paired or mutual confirmation may be required before the communication instruments are connected. Pairing can take place between two or more consumers or consumers and merchants.

  • Publication number: 20130282443
Abstract: Systems and methods for monitoring seller URLs are described. The methods include receiving a merchant URL associated with a merchant site, extracting content from a Web page associated with the merchant URL, and determining actionable changes related to a payment provider service on the merchant site.

  • Patent number: 8381130
Abstract: Methods and software tools are described for allowing users to navigate through a time schedule quickly and easily. The time schedule interface facilitates a user viewing multiple time periods on an information schedule on a client device quickly without having to completely remake or redraw the entire interface. A user of a computer or similar device is presented with a time schedule interface. This schedule interface may resemble a schedule such as program guide or a train schedule. The schedule typically is composed of a grid or blocks of information defined by two parameters. One parameter is almost always time, while the other parameter depends on the type of schedule. The interface in this invention includes a moveable virtual slider. The slider rests on or is attached to a time scale axis. This time scale axis may be implemented as a horizontal or vertical bar and in addition may contain markings corresponding to time intervals much like a ruler.
