  • Publication number: 20200110831
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, according to one embodiment, includes: receiving data replication operations from one or more compute nodes at a primary location, storing the received data replication operations in a queue, and dividing the queued data replication operations into a number of independent sub-groups. The number of independent sub-groups is equal to or less than a number of worker gateway nodes. Each of the independent sub-groups are further added to a respective one of the worker gateway nodes. One or more instructions are also sent to each of the worker gateway nodes to send the data replication operations included in the respective independent sub-group to a remote storage location. Other systems, methods, and computer program products are described in additional embodiments.

  • Publication number: 20200099570
Abstract: A method of processing alarm messages in a computer network includes receiving an alarm message generated by a node in the computer network and determining whether the alarm message falls within a dependency chain of a previous alarm message. In response to determining that the alarm message falls within the dependency chain of the previous alarm message, the method identifies an alarm group associated with the previous alarm message and determines an affinity of the alarm message to the alarm group. The alarm message is added to the alarm group based on the affinity of the alarm message to the alarm group.

  • Publication number: 20190004790
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products are included for measuring similarity between different versions of software components. An example method includes a computing device identifying one or more software components. Properties are determined corresponding to a component of the identified one or more software components. The determined properties are represented as elements of a vector. A similarity is determined between the vector and a second vector corresponding to a different version of the component. A result is provided that indicates the determined similarity.

  • Publication number: 20160328683
Abstract: Techniques for providing a calendar based provisioning and management for IT administrator/user activities in a virtual datacenter is described. In one example embodiment, an IT task is scheduled as a calendar appointment using an at least one registered calendar application residing in a user device. The at least one registered calendar application is then monitored for the scheduled IT task. The scheduled IT task is then translated into an action/command based on the outcome of the monitoring. The action/command is then issued to manage the scheduled IT task in the datacenter/cloud.

  • Publication number: 20160182244
Abstract: The teachings herein relate to charging for multimedia content, such as Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service, MBMS, content, that is provided for subscriber consumption through a communication network, such as a wireless communication network. One aspect of the teachings involves the advantageous inclusion of content location information in the context of generating or sending charging-related messages, in association with requested multimedia content. The content location information indicates, for example, whether the requested multimedia content is available for delivery to a subscriber device associated with the request from a data store that internal to the network. This functionality enables differentiated charging as a function of the content location indicated by the content location information included in the charging-related message.

  • Patent number: 8291037
Abstract: A local media cache engine stores content locally for a particular local device. The content is downloaded or copied from other source devices within a network of devices, when the particular local device is coupled to the network. The content is then available to the local device even when that device is not coupled to the network or when the source device is not coupled to the network. Further, even when the source device of the content is coupled to the network, the local cache provides an easier and faster source of desired content for the local device. The content from the local cache is available to be loaded on a portable device through a synchronization operation. The local media cache engine also has the capability to automatically search for content from the source devices within the network and download the content to the local cache, based on user defined preferences and criteria.
