    Abstract: A long handled ointment applicator comprises a non-absorbent roller rotatably carried by an elongate handle member at one end thereof, and on the applicator for enabling a user to measure out a predetermined dose of ointment for application to the surface of the roller. An arm is pivotally mounted on the handle member so that it is movable between a first position in line with the handle member and a second position in which an arcuate recess in the arm is applied to the surface of the roller, and the measuring means is constituted by a depression having a predetermined volume formed in the arm within the arcuate recess.
