Sampson Chun-Fai Lee has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • Publication number: 20040214954
Abstract: Disclosed are compositions of ethylene and (meth)acrylic acid and ester elastomeric copolymers or of (meth)acrylic ester elastomeric copolymers with polylactones and certain polyethers.
    Type: Application
    Filed: April 28, 2003
    Publication date: October 28, 2004
Inventors: Gordon Mark Cohen, Robert Louis Dawson, Jerald Rice Harrell, Sampson Chun-Fai Lee, David John Mitchell
  • Patent number: 6803424
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for crosslinking copolymers of ethylene and acrylic esters by converting some of the ester groups to ester or amide groups which contain unsaturation, and then sulfur or peroxide curing the resulting polymers. The resulting crosslinked polymers often have excellent vulcanizate properties, and are useful especially in elastomeric form as seals and gasket.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 25, 2002
Date of Patent: October 12, 2004
Assignee: E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company
Inventors: Herbert Vernon Bendler, Gordon Mark Cohen, Clara Young Lin, Robert Louis Dawson, Jerald Rice Harrell, Sampson Chun Fai Lee
  • Patent number: 6534602
Abstract: A process for reducing the carbonyl group of a polyketone consisting of a carbon monoxide ethylene-based copolymer, comprising reacting a blend of carbon monoxide ethylene-based polymer with a metal alkoxide in a molten condition in proportions to provide a novel polyalcohol. This chemical modification changes the properties of the carbon monoxide ethylene-based polymers and renders them eligible for uses for which the original polymers were not or not very suitable.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 16, 1999
Date of Patent: March 18, 2003
Assignee: E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company
Inventors: George Henry Hofmann, Sampson Chun Fai Lee

    Filed: June 20, 2001
Date of Patent: March 4, 2003
