  • Publication number: 20030116357
Abstract: A drill bit has a plurality of air tubes extending into the bowl for separating entrained debris and liquids from air flow used to clean and cool bearings in the cutters of the bit. The air tube is assembled from a tube and a cap. The tube has open ends and a plurality of openings through the sidewall of the tube for allowing air to flow through the openings while preventing large debris from entering the tube. The lower end of the tube is inserted into an inner portion of a fluid passage, and the cap is secured to the upper end of the tube. The cap is removable for providing access to the interior of the tube when necessary to dislodge debris from within the tube.

  • Publication number: 20030068456
Abstract: A preform or parison for manufacturing a container having a large interior diameter body and small interior diameter opening is prepared by molding the preform in two parts, a body having a generally cylindrical sidewall with one open end and one closed end, and a preform end having a diameter sized to mate with the sidewall and an opening therein for accessing the interior of the preform, and then joining the preform body and preform end to form a complete preform having an internal diameter larger than the diameter of the opening. The preform so formed is then used in a conventional blow molding process to produce a container having a large internal diameter and a narrow access opening.

  • Patent number: 4136596
Abstract: The improved lockbolt collar comprises a substantially cylindrical first section and an outwardly flaring skirt connected to the cylindrical section. During the initial setting operation, the cylindrical portion of the collar is swaged into engagement with appropriate locking grooves on a lockbolt pin. In a second setting operation, the skirt is deformed inwardly so as to engage the locking grooves. As a result of the angular relationship of the skirt to the cylindrical section, the second setting step has the effect of elongating the collar to form a tightened joint.

  • Patent number: 4010630
Abstract: The hydraulic actuated power tool includes a barrel having an internal, annular bulkhead separating the barrel into two cylinder chambers. A single piston shaft having two pistons thereon operates within the cylinders of the barrel. One of the pistons is located intermediate the shaft ends and the other is positioned at the terminal end of the piston rod. This latter piston serves as the back wall for the rear cylinder chamber. The piston shaft is ported so that in the power stroke both pistons are being urged rearward, whereas in the return stroke only the forward piston is being acted upon. The porting includes a transverse port extending across the piston shaft and a longitudinal port connecting midway of the transverse port and extending along the piston shaft and terminating in a bifurcated passageway which extends through the forward piston. A floating front wall makes up the end wall of the forward cylinder.
