Abstract: The invention relates to a natamycin dosage form comprising a tablet, which consists of physiologically acceptable components, said tablet containing an effective food preserving amount of natamycin. The invention also relates to a process for producing such a dosage form as well as to a method for preservation of a food product comprising adding natamycin contained in a natamycin dosage form directly or indirectly to a food product to provide a preserving amount of natamycin in said food product.
