  • Publication number: 20230326651
Abstract: In at least one embodiment, the housing part is configured to be connected to an electric component, to house an electric line, and to be filled with a liquid. The housing part comprises an electrically conductive material and has an open mounting side to be connected to the electric component. A surface-to-volume ratio of the housing part is at least 3 m-1, and a ratio of the volume and a wall rupture pressure of the housing part is at least 0.02 m3MPa-1. A corresponding electric system is operated so that, when an electric arc occurs in the housing part, the housing part absorbs a pressure rise that is led into a component tank.

  • Publication number: 20230314094
Abstract: An electric arrangement comprising a casing; a heat generating electric component arranged inside the casing; and a heat exchanger comprising a three dimensional lattice cell structure, the three dimensional lattice cell structure being arranged to conduct a dielectric cooling fluid from the casing at an exterior side of the casing for heat exchange with an ambient fluid, and back towards the casing for cooling of the electric component. A panel for a heat exchanger and a heat exchanger comprising a plurality of panels are also provided.

  • Patent number: 11469039
Abstract: A rupture reduction system for fluid-immersed electrical equipment includes a turret for mounting of a bushing. The turret is expandable in volume in response to a surge in pressure of the fluid in the turret. The expansion volume can be provided by an expandable section of the turret, which may include a bellows.

  • Patent number: 10854368
Abstract: An electrical equipment is provided that prevents uncontrolled explosions that may occur due to arc faults in the tank. During an overpressure condition caused by an arc fault, the top of the tank ruptures along a weakened region. Cooling oil that escapes during a rupture is redirected by a deflector to prevent the oil from spraying outward from the tank.

  • Patent number: 9815594
Abstract: A tank for electrical equipment such as power transformers and shunt reactors has integral stiffeners for reinforcing the tank during overpressure conditions, such as during an arc fault. The stiffeners are formed of a material that is more ductile than the material to which the stiffeners are attached, such as the tank walls and cover. The tank with integral stiffeners allows for expansion of the internal volume of the tank during overpressure conditions, thus, increasing the flexibility of the tank and mitigating the risk of tank rupture.
