  • Patent number: 4307460
Abstract: An electronic digital alarm clock wherein a unique combination switch functions as an on/off switch for permitting or preventing an alarm from sounding and a momentary repeat alarm switch for temporarily shutting off the alarm for a short interval of time. A single switch actuator is provided for controlling both the alarm on/off switch and the repeat alarm switch. The actuator is guided for longitudinal movement for controlling the on/off switch and the actuator is also guided for inward and outward movement for controlling the momentary repeat alarm switch.

  • Patent number: 4302695
Abstract: A support arrangement for readily mounting the diaphragm of a piezoelectric transducer on a desired node ring, the diaphragm having coaxially mounted thereon a circular piezoceramic element having a diameter substantially the same as that of the node ring. A substantially rigid support member and a clamping spider have annular means thereon also having the same diameter as that of the node ring such that the periphery of the piezoceramic element acts as a guide means by cooperating with one of the annular mounting means to assure coaxial alignment of the diaphragm, the support members, and the clamping spider. The support members and the clamping spider are snapped together to rapidly and accurately provide the diaphragm mounting on the desired node ring.

  • Patent number: 4226497
Abstract: A battery terminal harness for connection with a predetermined polarity to the dissimilar terminals of a battery is provided with insulating cover means for preventing inadvertent short-term reverse polarity contact between the battery terminals and the connectors of the harness. Fastening means are provided for securing the cover means to a support member, the fastening means including aligned openings in a tab to the cover member and the support member and securing means passing through the aligned openings.

  • Patent number: 4208867
Abstract: In an alarm clock with an alarm vibrator arm and a reciprocating vibrator shut-off lever having an alarm "on" position out of engagement with the vibrator arm and an "off" position in engagement with the arm, an improvement is provided in the shut-off lever which consists of making the lever in an integral molded plastic flat plane with a pair of co-planar upper and lower cantilever arms extending from a bight to form the free end, the arms being disposed adjacent and coextensive with each other. The arms are resiliently deformable toward each other in the plane and are disposed in the slot to be guided along the upper and lower edges respectively. The arms are inwardly tapered on their outer surfaces from the free end towards the bight and a bevel section is provided on the upper arm at the end thereof. The pivot pin extends below the upper edge of the slot to form a cooperating detent with the bevel when the lever is in the "on" position.

  • Patent number: RE28985
Abstract: An alarm clock timer mechanism having a pair of coaxially mounted gear driven cam members with one of the cam members being axially movable to actuate an alarm or other form of control mechanism at a preset alarm time. One of the cam members is provided with a resiliently mounted cam follower which moves axially toward the other cam member at the alarm time. The resilient mounting allows the follower to ride smoothly on a lower surface of the other cam after the alarm time, thus precluding any high torque resetting loads on a timing motor. A manually operable reset mechanism is provided for axially moving the cam members away from each other to move the control mechanism to its off position and to simultaneously reset the resiliently mounted cam follower on an upper surface of the other cam.
