    Abstract: Automatic devices for positioning footballs for subsequent kicking to aid in kicking practice. The apparatus comprises a hopper for containing a plurality of footballs, which is preferably secured to a supportive base. Set-up apparatus serially receives footballs from the hopper and positions them in an upright, generally vertically end to end oriented position suitable for kicking. The hopper may be inclined with respect to the base to facilitate gravity feed, or it may include football contacting structure for forcibly conveying footballs therethrough. In a preferred embodiment the hopper may transversely feed the set-up structure. The set-up structure may be controlled electrically or pneumatically.
