Publication number: 20240177534Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer programs for detecting ridesharing behavior are disclosed. In one aspect, a method can include actions of obtaining, by one or more computers, telematics data that indicates one or more properties of each of a plurality of prior drives for a driver, determining, by one or more computers and based on the obtained telematics data, a plurality of numerical values that each represents a different drive feature, wherein the numerical value for each drive feature is based on telematics data collected from the plurality of prior drives for the driver, determining, by one or more computers and based on the plurality of numerical values, first data that provides an indication as to whether a current drive (i) is a ridesharing drive, and determining, by one or more computers, a driver classification for the driver based on the first data.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 29, 2022Publication date: May 30, 2024Inventors: Samuel Ross Madden, William Francis Bradley

Publication number: 20240166564Abstract: A polymer masonry unit (PMU) and methods and systems for forming PMUs are presented. In embodiments, a PMU may be made from a PMU mixture of a polymer, a quarry byproduct, such as a limestone aggregate, and water. The PMU may be ambient-dried to become a brick unit. The proportions of the PMU mixture may include 1-10% polymer, 80-90% quarry byproduct, and 1-10% water. The process for making a brick using the PMU of embodiments may avoid a kiln-firing process, which is costly, creates waste, and consumes significant energy. Furthermore, the PMU mixture may be formulated to enable the PMU mixture to be extruded from an extruder, enabling a system for making bricks to take advantage of the extrusion method, which can be very efficient and cost-effective for making bricks, and which is currently not possible with existing techniques and systems.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 24, 2024Publication date: May 23, 2024Applicant: Lithic Industries Holding CoInventors: Todd Denton, Michael Doty, Griffith J. Publication number: 20230386269Abstract: A system can include a mobile device that includes one or more sensors for sensing information during a trip in a vehicle. A hardware processor can execute operations including receiving telematics information produced by one or more sensors during a trip in a vehicle; processing, by a hardware processor, the received telematics information to identify vehicle movement information for the vehicle during the trip; determining, by the hardware processor, a probability that an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) feature of the vehicle was operational during the trip based, at least in part, on the vehicle movement information for the vehicle during the trip; and determining, by the hardware processor, a risk score for the vehicle or a driver of the vehicle based, at least in part, on the probability that the ADAS feature was operational.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 26, 2022Publication date: November 30, 2023Inventors: Samuel Ross Madden, William Francis Bradley

Publication number: 20230172388Abstract: An apparatus and method for sharing capsule image data and beverage preparation parameters, from one or more beverage preparation machines with a remote computer system via a network, such as the Internet, is disclosed. The remote computer system may process the capsule image data to determine characteristics of the capsule (e.g., a type of capsule, such as a brand, or beverage ingredients in the capsule), thereby relieving the beverage preparation from having to determine information about the capsule. The remote computer may track a user's consumption of capsules, may compare this value to the user's past capsule purchase history, and may determine if the user's supply of capsules is below a threshold value (e.g., below a week's worth of capsules).Type: ApplicationFiled: August 10, 2022Publication date: June 8, 2023Applicant: Keurig Green Mountain, Inc.Inventors: Ian Tinkler, Jianming Huang, Kevin William Hartley, Cameron McLeod, Samuel Ross Rulli, Nicholas George Ioannidis, James K. Publication number: 20220327406Abstract: Data processing techniques and systems for processing telematics data associated with a vehicle, such as an automobile, to classify how the vehicle is being operated by a driver. The telematics data can include the use of image data captured by a camera of the vehicle. The image data is processed in conjunction with vehicular telematics data such as position, speed, and acceleration data of the vehicle obtained from, for example, smartphone sensors. The image data is processed and used by a processing system to provide a context for the telematics data. The image data and the telematics data are classified by the processing system to identify driving behavior of the driver, determine driving maneuvers that have occurred, scoring driving quality of the driver, or a combination of them.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 25, 2022Publication date: October 13, 2022Inventors: Hari Balakrishnan, Samuel Ross Madden

Publication number: 20220114846Abstract: Personal safety concerns for users of vehicles can be indicated, identified, communicated, analyzed, or acted on to make the users and other participants in the technology aware of the safety concerns and to reduce the risks to the users associated with the safety concerns. Personal safety concerns can be recognized based on safety concern triggers. Once recognized, the personal safety concerns can be reported to the users and other participants in the technology by safety alerts. The safety alert can prompt one or more telematics devices at the vehicle to capture, store, or transmit telematics data, including, for example, audio, image, or video data or combinations of them. The captured telematics data can be used to verify the safety alert and the safety concern and present the captured data to a third party participant to enable the third party participant to determine an appropriate response or action.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 22, 2021Publication date: April 14, 2022Inventors: Hari Balakrishnan, Ben Bowne, Lewis David Girod, James E. Publication number: 20210061357Abstract: A system and method for expanding a frame of a vehicle at least after partial assembly of the vehicle along an assembly line. The frame includes opposing first and second side rail assemblies that are, during at least initial assembly, in a first configuration that comprises, for each side rail assembly, a removable first insert mechanically coupled to front and rear sections of the side rail assembly. The vehicle can be selectively separated and expanded to a second configuration via the first insert being detached from, and a second insert instead being attached to, one of the front and rear sections. The first and second inserts can be coupled to opposing ends of a rail sleeve that is positioned between the front and rear sections. A supplementary floor pan that can be coupled to additional seat can positioned over the rail sleeve.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 29, 2019Publication date: March 4, 2021Inventors: Benjamin Gilling Braun, Samuel Ross Lyons, William Reeves, JR., Gregory James Lacock, Justin Thigpen
