  • Publication number: 20230094495
Abstract: In some aspects, the described systems and methods provide for a system for processing a stream for real-time transmission. The system comprises a processor in communication with memory. The processor is configured to execute instructions for an autodirection component stored in memory that cause the processor to receive a real-time stream for an artistic performance, detect one or more human persons in the real-time stream, rank the detected one or more human persons in the real-time stream, select, based on the ranking, a subject from the detected one or more human persons, determine a subject framing for the real-time stream based on the selected subject, process the real-time stream to select a portion of each frame in the real-time stream according to the subject framing, wherein the portion of each frame includes at least the subject, and transmit the processed stream in real-time.

  • Patent number: 10681408
Abstract: Systems and methods for creating videos played on an audio track are provided. In some embodiments, a master take may be selected after one or more video takes are captured. The video portions of the takes may then be played on top of the audio track of the master take. The takes may be analyzed to determine notable events occurring within each take. The video takes may be played on top of the audio track of the chosen master take so that they all appear integrated into a single scene. Clips from the video takes may be paired or matched with certain sections of the audio track based on, for example, the notable events.

  • Patent number: 10649850
Abstract: Techniques and systems for storing and retrieving data storage devices of a data storage system are disclosed. In some embodiments, inventory holders are used to store data storage devices used by a data storage system. When data is to be transacted with the data storage devices, mobile drive units locate appropriate inventory holders and transport them to a device reading station, where an appropriate device retrieval unit transacts the data. In some embodiments, each inventory holder includes a heterogenous mix of data storage device types, the layout of which may be calculated according to the specific mix allocated to a given inventory holder. After the data has been transacted, the data storage devices are returned to the appropriate inventory holders, and the inventory holders are placed by the mobile drive units in locations where they may be accessed in response to further data transactions.

  • Patent number: 10504056
Abstract: Described herein are techniques for optimizing gross cubic utilization of inventory space by compressing items into closer proximity. In some embodiments, the inventory system selects an initial force limit to which an item to be stored may be subjected. The inventory system may cause a robotic arm to grasp the item and to push that item into a determined storage location. The inventory system then pushes the item into the storage location while applying a force up to the initial force limit to the item. While monitoring the position of the item, the inventory system may detect that the changes in position of the item are decreasing or stopping and determine that the item is approaching its force limit. The inventory system then updates database records with the force limit associated with the item.

  • Patent number: 10207868
Abstract: Described herein is an inventory management system and methods of operating a robotic arm assembly in which the level of compliance of the robotic arm assembly is altered in order to achieve a high gross cubic utilization. In at least some embodiments, a robotic arm assembly may adopt a low level of compliance when grasping an item. The inventory management system may identify an appropriate storage location for the item and move the item to that storage location. Upon reaching the storage location, the robotic arm assembly may adopt a higher level of compliance. The robotic arm assembly may then push the item against one or more other items in order to insert the item into the determined storage location.

  • Patent number: 9691429
Abstract: Systems and methods for creating music videos synchronized with an audio track are provided. In some embodiments, an audio track may be selected and one or more video takes may be captured while the selected audio track plays. The video takes may be analyzed while they are captured to determine, for example, a video intensity level and/or a number of faces recognized within each take. By capturing the video takes with the audio track, the video takes may be synchronized to the audio tracks so that they are in time with one another. Portions or subsets of the video takes may be paired or matched with certain sections of the audio track based on, for example, the audio characteristics for a particular section and video characteristics of a particular take.

  • Patent number: 9573049
Abstract: Various embodiments are provided generally relating to providing a strum pad on a user device. In some embodiments, a musical arrangement may be provided on a user device. A score of the musical arrangement may be tracked as it plays. In some embodiments, gestures may be detected on the user device while the user device plays the musical arrangement. In response to detecting the gesture, a component piece for the musical arrangement may be outputted. In some embodiments, the outputted component piece may correspond to the tracked score of the musical arrangement.

  • Patent number: 7359648
Abstract: A method of characterizing a tunable semiconductor laser diode by varying the laser tuning currents of a section, and measuring the output power transmitted by the laser through a wavelength discriminating device (WDD), in such a way that determines the currents needed to optimize the laser output within the passband of the WDD. A preferably employed method is to align the laser to the center of the passband, in order to maximize transmission. Since the laser alignment is performed relative to the spectral response curve of the WDD, there is no need to know the actual wavelength, either of the laser, or of the WDD. The WDD may be a multiplexer, a demultiplexer, an optical filter, or even a complete communications channel. The latter case thus constitutes a method of optimizing the performance of an optical communications channel by optimizing the wavelength of its laser source to the channel.
