Patent number: 11974763Abstract: Methods and systems for identifying and determining the size and orientation of a reamed portion of a patient's bone are disclosed. A tracking array and/or point probe may be inserted into an adapter device. The adapter device comprising a plurality of openings, having various connection means therein, such that when the tracking array is inserted into the adapter, a secure and robust connection is created. A reamer, stem, or similar tool may then be inserted into the opposing side of the adapter, during which, a secure and robust connection is created between the adapter and the tool. Thus, through the use of Computer Assisted Surgery Systems, a more accurate representation of the patient's anatomy can be obtained.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2022Date of Patent: May 7, 2024Assignees: Smith & Nephew, Inc., Smith & Nephew Orthopaedics AG, Smith & Nephew Asia Pacific Pte LimitedInventors: Samuel C. Patent number: 11481190Abstract: Provided are a computer program product, system, and method for selecting a plurality of processing systems to sort a data set. A determination is made of processing systems to perform a sort of records in a data set. The data set is divided into data subsets, each data subset comprising a portion of the records of the data set. Each of the determined processing systems of is notified of a data subset to sort. In response to receiving notification from the determined processing systems that the records in the data subsets have been sorted, the sorted data subsets are merged into a sorted data set comprising the records of the data set sorted.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 2020Date of Patent: October 25, 2022Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHIINES CORPORATIONInventors: Michael R. Publication number: 20220165309Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, are provided, for generating video anchors for a video. In one aspect, a method includes obtaining key moment identifiers for a video, where each key moment identifier includes a time index value specifying a playback time in the video, and is indicative subject matter of the video that has been determined to meet one or more interest criteria that define salient topics within the video. For each key moment identifier, a video anchor is generated, where each video anchor indicates a playback time for the video, and may include an image of a frame that occurs near the playback time. Upon a selection of the video anchor by the user, an instruction in the video anchor causes a video player to begin playback of the video at the playback time specified by the video anchor.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 4, 2019Publication date: May 26, 2022Inventors: Prashant Prakashchandra Baheti, Michael Adams Linkous, Wei Peng, Chériana Crystal Gretchen Griggs, Kathryn Malia Tice, Pierce Anthony Vollucci, Samuel Ryan Becker, Rick Maria Frederikus Van Mook, Tsutomu Ohkura, Yi Yang, Dimitra Papachristou, Edward Regalado Santos, Nicolas Crowell, Steffanie McBrian, Neesha Subramaniam, Gabriel Rubow Culbertson, Shoji Ogura

Patent number: 4064810Abstract: A railway car door includes an operating mechanism having a pair of pipes and cranks rotatably secured to the door. By their rotation, the door is movable into and out of a door opening. The car is equipped to have internally-projecting lading restraining members removably attached to the inside car sidewall and filler members removably attached to the inside of the door. Pipe stops are provided for selectively increasing or decreasing the amount of rotation of the pipes and cranks possible so that when the filler members are attached to the door, the door can be moved laterally out of the opening a first greater distance and thereby permit the filler members to clear the sidewall or adjacent door of the car. When the filler members are removed, the door can be moved a second, lesser distance out of the opening and clear of the sidewall or adjacent door of the car.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 1975Date of Patent: December 27, 1977Assignee: The Youngstown Steel Door CompanyInventors: Oliver James Jenkins, Walter Samuel Ryan, Leslie David Suit
