  • Patent number: 11983735
Abstract: Described are systems and methods for generating recommendation campaigns that optimize for both a desired short-term user behavior and a desired long-term user behavior. In comparison to existing techniques that focus on targeting advertisements or recommendations to specific individuals with a single goal of receiving an interaction with the advertisement from that individual (i.e., a desired short-term behavior), the disclosed implementations consider the long-term user behavior, such as increased visits to a website during a long-term rage, and generate a recommendation campaign that also optimizes for that desired long-term user behavior.

  • Publication number: 20240151889
Abstract: A multilayer optical film includes a plurality of optical repeat units. Each of the optical repeat units includes at least four sequentially arranged first through fourth layers including first and third layers having respective f-ratios f1 and f3. The optical film has a first order reflection band having a reflection peak height Rp1 and any second order reflection band has a reflection peak height Rp2, where Rp1/Rp2?5. Rp1/Rp2 may remain at least 5 when changing at least one of the f-ratios f1 and f3 continuously by 0.2. A thickness of each of the second and fourth layers can be less than a thickness of each of the first and third layers by at least a factor of 2, or a thickness of a same one of the first and third layers can differ from a thickness of each other layer by at least a factor of 2.5.

  • Patent number: 11978159
Abstract: A cross reality system that provides an immersive user experience by storing persistent spatial information about the physical world that one or multiple user devices can access to determine position within the physical world and that applications can access to specify the position of virtual objects within the physical world. Persistent spatial information enables users to have a shared virtual, as well as physical, experience when interacting with the cross reality system. Further, persistent spatial information may be used in maps of the physical world, enabling one or multiple devices to access and localize into previously stored maps, reducing the need to map a physical space before using the cross reality system in it. Persistent spatial information may be stored as persistent coordinate frames, which may include a transformation relative to a reference orientation and information derived from images in a location corresponding to the persistent coordinate frame.

  • Publication number: 20240135466
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating user notifications to a set of users of a social networking service is presented. For each user of a set of users of the social networking service, one or more machine learning models selects an optimal notification channel, an optimal notification template, and optimal personalization content for configurable elements of a selected notification template. Each of these determinations/selections is made according to and based on a likelihood of increased user engagement with the social networking service. Upon determining the notification channel, notification template, and personalizations to the template, the notification is generated and sent to the corresponding user.

  • Publication number: 20240079653
Abstract: Electrolyte formulations for energy storage devices are disclosed. The energy storage device comprises a first electrode and a second electrode, where one or both of the first electrode and the second electrode is a Si-based electrode, a separator between the first electrode and the second electrode, and an electrolyte composition. Electrolyte formulations as described herein are electrolyte compositions comprising two or more components such as solvents, co-solvents, salts and/or additives. In some embodiments, three or more, four or more, five or more, six or more, seven or more, or eight or more components are included in the electrolyte composition.

  • Publication number: 20240078816
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for training a neural network to predict object categories without manual annotation is provided. The method includes feeding training datasets including at least images and data annotations to an object detection neural network, converting, by a text prompter, the data annotations into natural text inputs, converting, by a text embedder, the natural text inputs into embeddings, minimizing objective functions during training to adjust parameters of the object detection neural network, and predicting, by the object detection neural network, objects within images and videos.

  • Patent number: 11641036
Abstract: Vehicles can employ onboard telematic monitoring devices to collect vehicle and operation data, such as for improved vehicle fleet management. Such telematic monitoring devices are dependent on power from a vehicle, such that data collection and communication can be interrupted if a telematic monitoring device is disconnected or has a poor connection. The present disclosure relates to battery devices, which provide power to telematic monitoring devices as needed in order to maintain data collection and communication, or other more limited functionality. The present disclosure also relates to systems including battery devices, and methods for operating battery devices. The present disclosure also relates to detecting temperature of batteries, as well as emergency input and messages for telematic monitoring systems.
