  • Patent number: 11140156
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for binding an IoT device with an identity of a user, whereby action by the IoT device may be attributed to the user. One exemplary method includes receiving identifying data for a user, transmitting an OTP to the user, and receiving an OTP from the user. When the received OTP matches the transmitted OTP, the method includes compiling an identity for the user based on the identifying data, receiving an IoT device ID associated with an IoT device, and appending the IoT device ID to the identity of the user. The method further includes seeking authentication of the user at a communication device of the user, in response to a request indicator from the IoT device, and providing to the IoT device, in response, a confirmation of authentication of the user and/or a portion of the identifying data from the stored identity of the user.

  • Patent number: 11127004
Abstract: A message routing and pre-processing (MRP) computing device is described herein. The MRP computing device is configured to receive an authorization request message associated with a transaction initiated by a cardholder with a merchant, the authorization request message including authorization parameters of the transaction, and retrieve a plurality of potential authorization routes for the authorization request message. Each potential authorization route includes routing parameters and is associated with a respective transaction processing network (TPN). The MRP computing device is also configured to compare the authorization parameters to the routing parameters of each potential authorization route to determine an optimized authorization route for the authorization request message. The optimized authorization route includes routing parameters that most closely match the authorization parameters. The optimized authorization route is associated with a first TPN.

  • Publication number: 20210103910
Abstract: A payment card account system transaction request is received. The request was initiated by acceptance of a payment card account transaction by a merchant. The request includes a transaction amount. It is determined whether the merchant has selected EFT (electronic funds transfer) settlement for the payment card account transaction that the merchant accepted. In response to the receiving step and also in response to a result of the determination as to whether EFT settlement was selected, an EFT transaction request is routed for the transaction amount to an EFT system to benefit the merchant.

  • Publication number: 20210019698
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for distributing parcels to users by way of unmanned devices. One computer-implemented method includes actuating a locking mechanism of a compartment of the unmanned device to secure a parcel within the compartment and receiving, from a parcel provider associated with delivering the parcel to a user, a delivery location and a hashed key for the parcel. The method then also includes, at the delivery location of the parcel: capturing an image of a computer-readable indicia representative of a hashed key from the user; determining that the hashed key from the user and the hashed key received from the parcel provider match; and when the hashed keys match, actuating the locking mechanism associated with the compartment of the unmanned device to enable the user to access the compartment and retrieve the parcel.
