  • Patent number: 11796817
Abstract: An optical arrangement for expanding and uniformizing a beam of light, including a first optical member arranged to receive a collimated incoming light beam, from an incoming beam direction, with a first polarization, the first optical member configured to expand and uniformize the collimated incoming light beam along a first axis to form a first collimated light beam exiting therefrom in a first beam direction; a second optical member adapted to receive the first collimated light beam, from the first beam direction, with the first polarization in relation thereto, the second optical member configured to expand and uniformize the first collimated light beam along a second axis to form a second collimated light beam exiting therefrom in a second beam direction.

  • Patent number: 11782290
Abstract: An apparatus for displaying a three-dimensional image. The apparatus includes a light source, an intensity modulator to modulate an intensity of a given light beam, a mirror device to modulate spatially the intensity-modulated light beam at a given time instant, a first optics to collimate the spatially-modulated light beam and an image waveguide comprising an in-coupling structure to receive the collimated light beam and an out-coupling structure comprising out-coupling sites. The image waveguide directs the collimated light to the out-coupling structure which selectively redirects multiple reflections towards a segmented optical structure comprising at least two types of segments to redirect a first part of the multiple reflections to form a first type image point P1 at a first focal distance d1, d1? and a second part of the multiple reflections to form a second type image point P2 at a second focal distance d2, d2?.

  • Publication number: 20230133231
Abstract: An optical element for expanding and uniforming a beam of light. The optical element includes a plurality of layers of a first type and plurality of layers of a second type arranged as a stack of layers. The stack of layers includes an input facet for receiving a beam of light and an output facet to output expanded and uniformed beam of light. The stack of layers forms a right triangular prism having a first side and a second side of a same width.

  • Patent number: 11323691
Abstract: A display system and a method for displaying a three-dimensional image. A light source is employed to emit a light beam towards a first optics. The first optics is employed to collimate and form the light beam and provide the collimated light beam towards a spatial light modulator. The spatial light modulator is employed to modulate the collimated light beam and the modulated light beam is provided to a first direction. A first optical image expander is inclined at a first angle ‘?’ in respect to the first direction and is employed to reflect the modulated light beam to a second direction. A second optical image expander is inclined at a second angle ‘?’ in respect to the second direction and is employed to reflect the reflected light beam to a third direction. A screen element is arranged on the optical path for displaying a three-dimensional image.
