Abstract: A recreational device for horses takes the form of a resilient body having a grip simulating a bridle bit and adapted to be engaged between a horse's upper and lower teeth. The body material is impregnated or otherwise treated with a substance to produce an aroma of apple, honey, molasses-containing materials or other food substances attractive to horses. The body may be configured to prevent the device from rolling away from a horse and a preferred configuration having this feature is generally bell-shaped.
