  • Patent number: 8201347
Abstract: A shoe construction enables a user to attach or interchange shoe components for improving function and or appearance of the shoe construction. The shoe construction includes a base, a cover, a top attachable component, and two fasteners. The base includes a series of fastener-receiving apertures. First fastening structure surrounds the fastener-receiving apertures. The cover includes a second fastening structure matable with the first fastening structure. The top attachable component includes component ends, each of which has an end aperture and a third fastening structure, which third fastening structure surrounds the end apertures. The fasteners fasten the component ends to the base member via the end apertures and fastener-receiving apertures. The cover covers the first fastening structure, the component ends, and the fasteners. The first, second, and third fastening structures function to prevent rotation of the component ends about axes extending through the fasteners.

  • Patent number: 7945971
Abstract: A hair-gathering hat construction comprises a hair-gathering aperture, which hat construction essentially comprises a crown portion, a brim portion, and hat cinching structure for cinching the crown and brim portions against the head of a user for effecting a proper fit. The crown portion defines a head-receiving opening and comprises inferior and posterior crown sections. The inferior crown section is peripherally discontinuous at the posterior crown section for defining an upper hair-receiving notch. The brim portion defines certain head-receiving structure and comprises a superior brim section, a posterior brim section, and brim flaps. The superior brim section extends from the inferior crown section at a crown-to-brim junction. The superior and posterior brim sections define a lower hair-receiving notch. The upper and lower notches together define a hair gathering aperture. The brim flaps form annular head-receiving structure when juxtaposed one another.

  • Patent number: 7774863
Abstract: A combination bag-hat contains bag-hat-received matter and comprises a body assembly, a continuous hat-to-bag cinching cord, and a continuous open end-encircling cord. The body assembly comprises a cord-concealing, intermediate fabric layer, and a matter-containing, outer fabric layer. The outer fabric layer comprises opposing pairs of cord-letting apertures. The cinching cord is substantially disposed between the outer and intermediate fabric layers, and extends through the cord-letting apertures for forming opposing cord-linking loops. The outer and intermediate fabric layers conceal, fabric-guide, and frictionally engage the cinching cord during hat-to-bag cinching action. The encircling cord is disposed externally relative to the outer fabric layer and extends through the cord-linking loops. The encircling and cinching cords are tensionable for closing the open end and converting the bag-hat combination from a hat to a bag.
