  • Patent number: 9659206
Abstract: A system allowing the acquisition of biometric and biographical data of an individual includes a station into which at least one of the following elements are integrated: a sensor of biometric prints, a camera for taking a picture of said individual, a feedback screen and a gantry including lighting means adapted for ensuring lighting complying with given conditions of acquisition of the biometric data. The lighting means include a curved metallic reflector fixed to the rear and to the apex of the framework of a first upper light tube placed substantially horizontally, furnished with a protection which is lowered and oriented toward said reflector, and a second light tube disposed substantially horizontally in the lower part of the framework, where the power P2 of the second lighting tube being lower than that the power P1 of the first tube.

    Assignee: THALES
Inventors: Marc Cohen, Frederic Russel, Jerome Le Grouyer, Nicolas Foucal, Sandra Marti, Stephane Belardi, Severine Brunold, Julien Weber

  • Patent number: 8194943
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of automatically recognizing fingerprints, consisting in establishing a database by digitizing images of fingerprints of individuals, by detecting the corresponding minutiae, by selecting the most discriminating minutiae, by storing the characteristic parameters of these minutiae, then, in the step for recognizing prints of a given individual, in digitizing the fingerprints of this individual, in detecting the minutiae of these fingerprints, in storing their characteristic parameters, in comparing these parameters with those stored in the database, and it is characterized in that, on establishing the database and on taking prints of said given individual, for each print in the database and of the individual concerned, at least the spectra of the selected minutiae are stored as characteristic parameters of the minutiae, and in that, after comparison of the characteristic parameters of the prints of the individual with the corresponding parameters of the prints in the d

  • Patent number: 7285089
Abstract: Equipment includes an image guide (1) consisting of flexible optical fibers with: on the proximal end side: a source (2), angular scanning elements (3), injection elements (4) in one of the fibers, elements for splitting (5) the illuminating beam and the backscattered signal, elements for spatial filtering (6), elements for detecting (7) the signal, electronic elements (8) for controlling, analyzing and digital processing of the detected signal and display; and on the distal end side: an optical head (9) for focusing the illuminating beam exiting from the illuminated fiber. The scanning elements include a resonant line mirror (M1) and a galvanometric field mirror (M2) with a variable frequency and two afocal optical systems adapted to conjugate the two mirrors (M1, M2) firstly in the field mirror (M2) and the injection elements (4) in the image guide in a second step.
