Abstract: A laser induced thermal imaging apparatus and a laser induced thermal imaging method capable of uniformly adhering a donor film to an acceptor substrate by use of a magnetic force to achieve an effective laser induced thermal imaging method; and a method for fabricating an organic light-emitting diode using the same. The laser induced thermal imaging apparatus includes: a chamber in which a contact frame having a magnetic substance is located, to press toward an acceptor substrate containing a magnet located on a substrate stage with an imaging layer of a donor film located between the acceptor substrate and the contact frame; and a laser oscillator to irradiate the donor film through openings in the contact frame. Accordingly, the laser induced thermal imaging apparatus applies an improved adhesion between the donor film and the substrate, producing an organic light-emitting diode having an improved life span, yield and reliability.

Abstract: A method for using sodium meta-arsenite (AsO2?) to suppress growing of human cancer cells is provided to find a method of curing human cancers. Effects of sodium-meta arsenite (AsO2?) on various human cancer cells are investigated via in vitro cytotoxic activity and in vivo anticancer activity against nude mice. For in vitro cytotoxic activity, six (6) kinds of human cancer with nine (9) cancer cell lines, eight (8) kinds of human cancers with twelve (12) cancer cell lines and ten (10) kinds of human cancers with forty one (41) cancer cell lines are tested. For in vivo anticancer activity, two (2) kinds of cancers of human renal cancer RXF 944LX and leukemia cells are tested utilizing nude mice. Maximum tolerated dose assessment of sodium meta-arsenite (AsO2?) after daily oral gavages for 14 days were investigated for mouse, rat and pig. Subacute toxicity study of sodium meta-arsenite (AsO2?) was induced after daily oral gavages for 14 days in the mouse followed by a 28-day recovery period.

Abstract: In an Automatic Response System (ARS) automatic processing apparatus and method, a keypad enters an event for an ARS access, and a memory stores information on sequentially transmitted sequences. A Dial Tone Multi-Frequency (DTMF) generator outputs a DTMF signal corresponding to each of the sequences, and a controller controls the DTMF generator so as to output the DTMF signal corresponding to the sequence at predetermined times, upon detecting the event entry.

Abstract: Provided is a system and method for providing a real-time streaming service between terminals by using a wired/wireless communication channel. The system for providing a real-time streaming service between terminals includes a server terminal for parsing and separately storing header information of media data, decoding and outputting each of video and audio data included in the media data, and providing header information and the media data being currently reproduced in response to a sharing request for the media data; and a client terminal for generating a decoder by means of the header information received from the server terminal according to the sharing request for the media data being reproduced in the server terminal, decoding the media data provided from the server terminal by means of the generated decoder, and outputting the media data.

Abstract: An organic lighting emitting diode display device (OLED display device) and a method of fabricating the same. The OLED display device includes: a substrate; a first electrode disposed on the substrate; an emission layer disposed on the first electrode; a second electrode disposed on the emission layer; and a hole injection layer disposed between the first electrode and the emission layer or between the emission layer and the second electrode, and formed of an inorganic semiconductor material, which evaporates at a temperature of 1100° C. or less. The method includes forming the hole injection layer between the first electrode and the second electrode, by thermally evaporating the inorganic semiconductor material, at a temperature of 1100° C., or less.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for improving qualities of motion and still images to be output in a mobile communication terminal. An error-reflected-value table is provided to reduce a computation amount while applying an error diffusion process. The table includes quantization-error-reflected values pre-computed according to maximum values of quantization errors and error-reflected ratios of neighboring pixels. When quantization errors of a specific pixel of an original image selected in a process procedure are computed, error-reflected values of neighboring pixels are determined. Pixel-by-pixel error values are stored by accumulating error-reflected values related to pixels. When error-reflected values of neighboring pixels around all the pixels of the original mage are completely computed, an image in which quantization errors are diffused is generated when the error-reflected values are added on a pixel-by-pixel basis.

Abstract: A moisture indicator for a refrigeration system. The moisture indicator includes a body for retaining refrigerant. The body includes an inlet, an outlet and an opening. A display member covers the opening of the body. An inner side of the display member contacts with the refrigerant. A lens assembly displays the color of the display member to the naked eye. The lens assembly is arranged on a receiving groove formed at the outside of the display member. The lens assembly is sealed within the receiving groove. The moisture indicator allows a user accurately to identify the color of the display member without disturbing the flow of the refrigerant. It also allows the user accurately to determine when to replace a filter drier and when to supplement the refrigerant.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for transmitting and receiving moving picture data, which can stream the moving picture through the near narrowband communication network in real time by using a portable terminal having a near field communication module like a Bluetooth module. The apparatus transmits some of audio visual data stored in the form of a file which is prescribed by Moving Picture Experts Group to the portable terminal connected to the near field communication network to allow the portable terminal to replay the audio visual data. Then, the apparatus divides the residual data into files with a desired size and transmits the files to the portable terminal, so the portable terminal can simultaneously receive and replay the moving picture.

Abstract: A wafer chuck illumination device for illuminating a light source to detect a position of foreign substances polluting a wafer chuck is provided. The device includes a lamp for generating a white light source, and a collimator lens for transforming the white light source into a beam of parallel rays and for directing the beam of parallel rays to a wafer chuck for detecting and cleaning foreign substances on the wafer chuck.

Abstract: Provided is an image processing apparatus and method for preventing degradation of image quality occurring when a bit-format of an image is converted. When a raw image is converted to an image having specific color resolution, the image to be converted can maintain an image close to the raw image by obtaining errors between pixels of the raw image and the image to be converted and minimizing the errors between the raw image and the image to be converted using an error diffusion scheme.

Abstract: A ball valve apparatus for a refrigeration system is described. The ball valve apparatus comprises a ball valve for controlling flow of refrigerant and a moisture indicator for showing a moisture content of the refrigerant, and the moisture indicator and the ball valve are formed as one body. Since a moisture indicator and a ball valve are formed as one body, the installation cost and the size of a refrigeration system can be reduced.

Abstract: An apparatus adapted to engrave a label and a related method for engraving a label are disclosed. The apparatus includes a laser diode adapted to emit a laser beam and heat-exchanging member adapted to adjust the temperature of the laser diode. The method includes measuring a present energy level of the laser beam emitted from a laser diode, calculating a temperature compensation value, adjusting the temperature of the laser diode to a reference temperature in accordance with the temperature compensation value, and emitting a laser beam from the laser diode having the reference temperature.

Abstract: A high-speed add-compare selection apparatus, for a Viterbi algorithm processing apparatus having a branch metric calculator and a metric memory, is described. First and second previous metric values are supplied from the metric memory to first and second registers. The first previous metric value from the first register and a branch metric value of the present state calculated by the branch metric calculator are added, as are the second previous metric value from the second register and a branch metric value of the next state calculated by the branch metric calculator. The values obtained are compared and a survival metric value calculated accordingly.
