  • Publication number: 20060239334
Abstract: This invention is concerned with a transmission control method and apparatus in a collision interval for a collision of multidimensional hopping patterns. In the present invention, each orthogonal wireless resource in the coordinate of the multidimensional orthogonal resource can hop according to the hopping pattern negotiated between a transmitter and a receiver, and each corresponding channel is distinguished by the hopping pattern. A specific multidimensional hopping pattern is allocated to each secondary station. The hopping pattern is either permanently allocated to the secondary stations or temporarily allocated from the primary station during a call set-up. The permanent allocation of the hopping pattern to the secondary stations is achieved when the hopping pattern is identified based on a unique identifier, such as ESN of the secondary station.

  • Publication number: 20060159263
Abstract: A scrambled state display method of a broadcasting signal is disclosed whereby discrimination is made as to whether cable TV broadcasting signal is a scrambled A/V stream and it is displayed on a screen. If a channel switchover command is inputted, a tuner is made to tune to a broadcasting signal of a relevant channel, and header information is extracted from a transport packet stream of the tuned channel of the tuner. The broadcasting signal is discriminated as to whether it is a scrambled signal by a value of a transport scrambling control in the head information, and if it is discriminated that the broadcasting signal is a scrambled signal, it is displayed by an OSD signal, enabling a viewer to check.

  • Patent number: 7031375
Abstract: Ternary spreading codes in which side lobes near a peak of auth-correlation and cross-correlation are zero for a duration equal to or less than (0.75N+1) chips for a N chip period code are generated. The ternary spreading codes of the present invention is generated by (a) generating ternary zero correlation duration preferred pair codes, in which the zero correlation duration of (0.75N+1) chips is retained, by expanding a N chip period of a code, N being a natural number; and (b) generating a plurality of ternary zero correlation duration code sets having zero correlation characteristic equal to or less than (0.75N+1) chips by shifting the generated ternary zero correlation duration preferred pair codes in chips.

  • Publication number: 20060031895
Abstract: A digital cable TV receiver includes a POD module and a host device. The host device includes a controller and a HDMI port linked to a first peripheral device. When the controller receives a diagnostic request for HDMI status from the POD module, it generates a HDMI status report and transmits the DVI status report to the POD module. The HDMI status report includes HDMI status information associated with the first peripheral device. If the host device further includes a DVI port linked to a second peripheral device and receives a diagnostic request for HDMI/DVI status from the PDO module, it generates a HDMI/DVI status report and transmits the HDMI/DVI status report to the POD module. The HDMI/DVI status report includes HDMI status information associated with the first peripheral device and DVI status information associated with the second peripheral device.

  • Publication number: 20060026666
Abstract: A digital cable broadcast system includes a broadcast transmitter and a digital cable TV receiver. The TV receiver includes a POD module which receives a generic feature control message from the broadcast transmitter. The generic feature control message includes cable band information identifying a cable band selected by the broadcast transmitter. The POD module generates application protocol data including the cable band information. The TV receiver further includes a host device which parses the cable band information from the application protocol data and tunes to a channel based on the cable band identified by the parsed band information in order to receive a cable broadcast signal from the transmitter.

  • Publication number: 20050198502
Abstract: An authentication method for protecting content transmitted in a digital cable broadcasting system including a headend, a security module and a host. Upon initiation of the authentication method, authentication information is transmitted between the security module and the host. If either the host or the security module authentication information is determined to be invalid the authentication procedure is ended.
