  • Patent number: 10636108
Abstract: Embodiments provide techniques, including systems and methods, for identifying and matching requestors and providers. For example, embodiments can display an identification pattern that is unique for a matched requestor and provider to allow the providers and requestors to quickly, easily, and accurately validate one another's identities prior to a service being provided. In some embodiments, the identification element may be presented on a provider communication device to clearly display graphics associated with an identification element to all requestors in an area so that the requestors may easily identify a matched provider.

  • Publication number: 20170301900
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for cutting a separation membrane for a battery, in which the separation membrane is cut by laser radiation on the separation membrane, wherein the pulse repetition rate of the laser is 10 to 500 kHz; a separation membrane manufactured by the method; and a battery comprising the separation membrane. The present invention, in contrast with physical cutting, has the advantage of being capable of cutting a separation membrane for a battery so as to have a uniform cut surface, which was impossible by conventional physical cutting methods.

  • Patent number: 9660477
Abstract: Devices, methods, and systems for charging input devices. A charging unit includes a sleeve for receiving a stylus and a base. The charging unit receives electrical power from an external power source via an interface and transfers the power to the stylus via a connection between the base's charging contacts and conductive charging zones on a portion of the input device in the base. A method detects insertion of a stylus into a charging unit having an internal battery and an interface capable of receiving power from an external power source. The method determines if the unit is connected to a power source. If so, the stylus is charged by transferring the received energy via a connection between the unit's charging contacts and conductive charging zones of the stylus. If energy is not being received from the external power source, the method charges the stylus using the unit's internal battery.
